Being on the judging side was considerably less nerve-wracking, though Rowan pushed aside the fact that it was due to the fact that she'd lost a duel. After reading the rules, Rowan gestured to Mr. Yarwood to begin.

Lestrange was a name that often brought respect, not at an individual level but for the family as an institution. One look at this lad, though, was enough for Madoc to know that he lacked the gravitas of Lucius Lestrange. Hell, Priam Lestrange had had more command of a room—possibly did, even now that he was dead. The wizard was not so proud that he assumed he would win against the boy, but on first impressions, he liked his chances.

Kristoffer had never doubted he'd get here. So it was with a certain laziness that he jerked his wand up to cast a shield charm.

Before Lestrange could even move, Yarwood's spell hit its mark and Lestrange's arms and legs snapped together before the man succumbed to gravity. Rowan quickly cast a reversal spell. "Mr. Yarwood wins this point," She announced. "Mr. Lestrange when you've recovered, please begin the next pass."

Ah, shite. Who knew middle-aged men had such fast reactions? With a little more rancour now, Kris went for disconcerting more than practical, with an Ears-to-kumquats switching spell. It was sure to unsettle his balance, if nothing else. If it worked.

Rowan had seen many things these days during her profession; heard many things. Kristoffer Lestrange's overly inflated ego was one thing, but seeing an overly inflated Kristoffer Lestrange was quite another. Lest the man float off into oblivion, Rowan immediately began to set Lestrange to rights. "Mr. Yarwood shall proceed to our next round." she announced.
