Wren is born the second son of the Banges in
August 1868. He is eventually joined by sisters in
1870 and
1874. His childhood is mostly spent being bullied by his older brother whom he loves but also would not mind never seeing again. It does not help that they are always in one anothers face due to the small residence that the Banges have.
Wrens first sign of magic consists of Wren levitating a heavy book off of a high shelf. His childhood is spent tinkering with various things and helping his parents out. Wren enjoys some peace when his elder brother goes off to Hogwarts in
1876.
In
1877, the family move to Hogsmeade and Wren's father co-opens a shop called Dervish & Banges. Wren adores it utterly and spends as much time as he can there. Which is easy when the entire family lives right above the shop.
In
1879, Wren goes off to Hogwarts and is sorted promptly into Ravenclaw, like his brother before him. Wren takes to academics like a fish to water and is easily able to stay past his first year thanks to a scholarship due to his very high grades. The friction between his brother and himself do not improve when Wrens older brother leaves after his OWLs... whilst Wren went on to complete his NEWTs.
Wren begins working for his fathers shop which he dreams of owning one day - if only it wasn't set to go to his elder brother. Who never seemed particularly interested in it but thats the way things are going to go whether Wren likes it or not. After finishing her third year at Hogwarts, one of Wrens younger sisters runs off to join the circus but that did not work out for her. Since then, she has taken up various occupations but never held one for very long.
Most of Wrens time since graduating consists of working for his father and tinkering with things on his own. Sometimes he does so from right within the shop.
