My Dearest Sophia,

Whatever has happened, we can fix it. I can try to slip away from the castle maybe this weekend, after classes have finished. Little difficult with Professor Pembroke's accidental death, but I'll try to make it work. Our normal haunt, or should I return home and open the floo for you?

I'm so sorry darling, these few days have been more than hectic -- and it sounds like it has been for you as well. I just heard of the accidental death. How mortifying, how has it been for the kids? If not this weekend, perhaps the next? Sunday the 12th?
