First off, I would like to offer my congratulations on your recent success in the Ministerial Election. I’m sure you’re very eager to get started on all the work that it entails and will become very busy, and I sympathize with this, however, you did promise me an interview before the whole dragon business and I assume you’re a man of your word. Please let me know the best time for a new interview date, thank you.

Indeed I did agree to an interview. I had thought your interest was in candidates, so you can imagine my surprise to receive your letter yesterday. But as I do consider myself a man of my word, I will be happy to entertain you at the Dempsey estate in Galway early next week.
