mindless lukewarm thoughts - Gus Lissington - February 9, 2023

Vince,
I’ve suddenly realized the amount of time we’ve known each other, and I was amazed and quite happy at the same time how easy it was to step back into knowing you after we lost touch. I guess I didn’t realize how much I missed you (more so on me, because I’ll be the first to admit I am not a fan of sitting down and writing down anything), and I was happy to see you again. Anyhow, I’m not writing to be sentimental.
I feel like if I didn’t send it to you now I would forget. I’m not sure if I’d shown it to you already or not (sorry if I have), or if it just instantly reminded me of you. It’s a children’sGrimm’s fairy tale book although once you start to read it you’ll see why I thought of you. I hope you still like to read. Hänsel und Grethel was my favorite, and man did those moving pictures make the sweets look good. The witch probably would have caught me too.
You’ll also find a small bottle filled with litchi lemonade, a personal favorite of mine. Mam made it in a moment of clarity, and I promise unless you travel to India, you won’t find someone who makes it better.
Let’s catch up soon. I get a free weekend every month and I’m already itching to use it.
