Appearance: Laurenz is a rather tall man, but still on the skinnier side. He has dark brown hair and prominent dark circles around his eyes and, upon closer inspection, many wrinkles can be found strewn about his face. His hair is usually styled pushed back, and he puts great importance on dressing to impress; whatever is currently being sold on the High Street can also be found in his closet. His eyes are rather shifty, their pupils noticeably smaller than those of most other people. His expression is constantly stoic, and Laurenz has trained himself to keep it that way. The first thing anyone would notice about him, however, is his wand. Due to its unusual size, Laurenz uses it as a walking stick, carrying it in his left hand.
History:

Born just a few days before Christmas as the only child of a very affluent couple in Kitzbühel, Austria, there was never any doubt cast upon the fact Laurenz had a bright future ahead of him and would one day become a powerful, influential man in his own right. Laurenz grew up in the lap of luxury, never knowing hunger or the cold, always under the watchful eye and tutelage of his father, a well-known wizard who had been offered a job at the Austrian-Hungarian equivalent of the Ministry of Magic mere months after Laurenz's birth. Of course, his father accepted, and a relocation to Vienna, the Empire's capital, soon followed.

Even before Laurenz began his formal wizarding education, his father began tutoring him in matters of magic and politics. Laurenz's father was a staunch blood purist, and instilled ideas of pureblood superiority in his child early on. In accordance with blood purist doctrine, Laurenz was also taught to detest and reject muggleborns and that wizard- and humankind were not to mix; a view which would only be solidified during his schooling years, and a view he still holds today (although Laurenz, unlike his father, does tolerate half-bloods).
