Miss Moony was scrappy and older, but that did not mean as much as usual up against young Master Mohr. Hamish had, on more than one occasion, seen entirely intelligent girls loose their head in his presence, owing to his particular parentage. As he reviewed the rules (taking particular care, in the Slytherin's case, around those involving harming one's competition), the professor wondered how this pairing would play out.
"Mr. Mohr," the wizard directed, "you may begin!"

Eros smiled kindly at the older girl as the niceties were observed. His previous opponent had also been a third year girl but the match had been a close one. So it was hard for him to say how well or not well he thought he might do. For his first spell, he decided to go with the silencing spell. "Silencio."

Still shaken from nearly roasting a classmate alive, Anne managed not to fidget as the rules were given again. Her eyes narrowed as she faced Mohr. The little prat had cheated and cost her their chess match last summer, something Anne could never forgive. She had every intention of ignoring the strange voice in her mind asking her to take it easy for his sake. Shame she'd already used a fire spell; she would like to see the grinning boy put back in his place.

Two bushy grey brows raised in surprise as the young Slytherin soundly disarmed her opponent before his spell could be completed. Hamish awarded Miss Moony the first point, and indicated for her to begin the next pass.

Lips pressed tight in a determined grimace, Anne snapped her wand in the smaller boy’s direction, hoping to smack him with a knock back jinx.

"Expelliarmus,"" Eros cast. The disarming spell was nice and simple. And sometimes that was what worked. He wouldn't be too fussed if it didn't though. He wasn't that much of a sore loser and she was older than he was.

Though the young Gryffindor did give a valiant effort, he was not quick enough to beat the Slytherin to the punch, as it were.
