Born in 1860, Sybil was the only girl in a family that consisted of parents and two brothers along with herself. She experienced the typical life of an upper class girl albeit with overprotective siblings. Her first signs of magic involved flowers which became a lifelong love of hers. She had a great enjoyment of adorning her hair in them.
When she was eleven, she got her letter for Hogwarts and by September 1871, she had been sorted into Hufflepuff. Her school life was quiet for the most part in her first couple of years beyond making friends and exploring the castle. It changed in her later teens when she began to have feelings for a schoolmate. She sent a love note to the boy and while they never actually spoke (and she had no idea if it was actually him making the responses), her feelings deepened.
It culminated in plans being made for them to formally speak on the night of the Coming Out Ball of 1878. Sybil made her debut into society and after doing some of the things required of her as a new debutante, she went in search of her beloved. She had been told to meet him at the edge of the forest.
What happened next is something she desires to never remember. She discovered the person she had been writing to all this time was not the boy she had been smitten with but someone else entirely. She tried to retreat but he attacked her and violated her. He redressed her and when Sybil thought he was letting her free, it turned out he was just playing mind games with her as she ended up being murdered. He discarded of her body within the Forbidden Forest where a ghostly Sybil eventually lead her family once she had come to terms with being a ghost. She was never able to identify her murderer, partially due to her mind blocking off his identity due to the trauma.
It has been some years since her death and she takes enjoyment in attending society gatherings whether ghosts are invited or not. She likes seeing how the lives of her classmates and friends have turned out though she has moments of misery at having been robbed of a life and family of her own.
