I write to inform you that I have been sorted into Slytherin, just like you and Mama once were. I am very happy, though I must admit that our common room's position is rather ghastly and I swear I could smell mold just outside the common room. I suppose it must be my imagination, I am not used to living in a castle.
What wonderful news! Of course I knew you would; I never doubted you for an instant. Of course you'll have plenty of friends there already, from [Pureblood Family A] and [Pureblood Family B] and such, and I'm sure you'll make many more. Do ensure that you keep to your social peers. At least for the first year, there will be all sorts at Hogwarts and some may have poor manners or even try to take liberties, but fortunately by next year they'll have either washed out or at least gotten some of the rough edges worn off. In any case, if you have any trouble with anyone go straight to the house matron and she'll see things set straight, I'm sure.
I am indeed not lonely in Slytherin, for there are many children I've played with. A girl I met while we shopped for my school supplies was also sorted into Slytherin - Miss Honoria Rookwood. I was very happy, for we agreed to sit together on our first class prior to coming here!
I am thinking of joining some clubs - Flying club in particular, so I get to use my broomstick!
