I hate myself.

Actually, I hate Pinterest.

I've been plagued by a series of play-bys that immediately spurred an idea for a dysfunctional family.  This is me potentially making bad choices, hence why I'm going to see if there's any interest first.

We're going to call them The Brothers Davies.  (Even though we're getting rid of the youngest brother BYE).  They'd likely be a middle class family of middling reputation.  All PBs are changeable.  These are just some of who spurred the ideas rofl.

Mother & Father Davies:  Dead & Dead.  Father in a magical accident.  Mother to an incurable disease fairly recently.  How sad.

Mother Davies younger brother.  He's the unlucky soul who found himself saddled with four boys after the death of his sister.  He would love more than anything to ship the lot off to the Home for Inconvenient Children, but this hot mess made a fucking unbreakable vow to take care of them.  Damn Mother Davies for taking advantage of his drunk and emotional state while she was dying.  At least he gained a cushy job out of the deal, inheriting their Hogsmeade shop.  Whatever.  He'll made due.  If he doesn't drive it into the ground first.  He has loftier, artistic aspirations.

The eldest of the Davies boys.  He's the luckiest of the four.  He gets to ride out much of this disaster at Hogwarts.  He is a lot like his Uncle in that he's fairly self-absorbed and leaves his brothers to fend for themselves.  (Although, this is mostly a defense mechanism to cope with his grief.)  He likely tries to con people at Hogwarts in order to grasp some sort of dopamine.

While "George" gets to go gallivant around Hogwarts, Jack is stuck being the actual responsible elder brother.  He practically managed the shop for "Uncle Jim" for a few months before secretly hiring an actual manager.  His Uncle thinks he was the one to do it, but whatever.  "Jack" is fairly bitter about the whole arrangement, especially toward his brothers whom he sees as having much more freedom.  He can be somewhat bossy.  He is incredibly intelligent and self-driven.  He was hit the hardest by their father's death.

He looks the most like their father.  "Peter" splits his time by helping in the shop, inventing, and being forced to perform his meta abilities for his uncle's friends or anyone else the man pays him to entertain.  The latter is something the boy isn't keen on doing, but he's easily pushed into it.  He's very interested in muggles, particularly muggle objects that he likes to use in various inventions.  He keeps his feelings about his parents' deaths trapped inside.

The youngest brother.  He has the least amount of responsibilities, and he intends to keep it that way. He's a master of mischief, shirking his duties, and generally running buck wild.  Nobody can tell this little scamp what to do.  He's probably kicking your cat or tossing dung down your chimney.  He's voted most likely to end up in Azkaban.

This man is a godsend.  The family's poor shop/restaurant/business would have tanked without him.  He's organized, methodical, and somewhat of a secondary caretaker for the children.  He's very close with "Jack" in particular, encouraging the boy's business sense and general aptitude for most things.  He likely did very well academically at Hogwarts but couldn't afford to attend past his OWLs.

The last player in this disaster is their mother's aunt who married up and feels responsible for the poor dears.  She is constantly stopping by and commenting on the "state of things" and doing her best to try and ensure her favorite (and only) niece's children don't end up as layabouts and hooligans.  She has much less hope for "Uncle Jim."
