Bernard Prewett vs. Roberto Devine -
Enoch Rosier - June 29, 2022
24th July, 1892 — LSPCM HQ
Though he was significantly more clear-headed than he had been yesterday Enoch's enthusiasm was still slow to come. Perhaps it was because he had been asked not to take part this year? It certainly felt to him as though he could easily master either of the two gentlemen he saw before him but was that really such a difficult feat?
"Mr Prewett," he called out, giving the older man the respect of a curt nod because, if nothing else, he did have an attractive sister. "You may begin."

Bernard Prewett - June 29, 2022
There were days when he hated past versions of himself, especially when they had bright ideas like signing up for a fucking dueling tournie. What strange tobacco had he been smoking that day.
He was called up for his matching and he took a last long draw on the cigerette he had been smoking, threw it on the floor and stubbed it, making his way to the piste, saluting casually as he went, and he was instructed to cast first.
He tried to cast a binding charm.

Roberto observed the niceties before the round began. In answer to the spell cast, Roberto cast a spell that would turn the other mans wand into an icicle if it hit correctly. Transfiguration had been a class he had enjoyed in school.

Enoch Rosier - July 2, 2022
Devine's spell, whatever it was meant to be, had not been quick enough and Prewett's bindings encased the other man. It was far from the most inspired bit of casting he had ever seen but Enoch would give the older man credit for the effect.
"First round to Mr Prewett. Mr Devine, whenever you're ready."

Bernard scrubbed his face and sniffed, when this was over he would need a drink.
Divine was told to cast first and on response Bernard conjured a mirror to reflect the charm back at him

Enoch Rosier - July 2, 2022
Prewett's mirror appeared promptly enough but unfortunately he had conjured it six feet to the left of his actual body owing to the fact that Devine's spell had rendered him insensible.
"Bad luck Mr Prewett, however, you may begin the deciding round."

Balls!
Well the one advantage was that this would soon be over. His turn to cast again, and he thought this time a spell to make his opponent dance a jig would be best.

Roberto cast a spell that would hopefully find the other man frozen in place and unable to cast.

Enoch Rosier - July 4, 2022
Prewett's arm stopped mid-way through the air and Enoch wondered momentarily whether he was still confunded - perhaps he always looked like that? Turning to Devine he noticed the other man looking far more composed and understood, awarding him the point and the match.
"Mr Devine will progress to the next round."
