A we'll see was better than another argument, so he gave a half-smile and nodded. "Try to have a good rest of the summer, won't you?" Even though he knew she'd be worrying and gloomy and obsessing over her next year. "If I don't see you, I mean."

Historically, Cameron and Alice tried to visit one another at least once a summer, whether it was independently or within the group they had always made it happen. She knew though that this would likely be the only time this summer, for she had already visited Hogsmeade and Edison had already come to the farm. They had missed their chance.
"You too," she called back, refusing ro acknowledge his comment. "Congratulations again, I am proud of you." Alice then tucked her hands into the pockets of her dress and melted into the London crowd.
