RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Paxton Fudge - February 5, 2022
Thankfully class had moved along and Paxton wrote down notes on what they were talking about. He couldn't believe that the village was so old but he supposed that was to be expected. Hogwarts had also been around for a really long time, after all.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Oberon Smethwyck - February 6, 2022
Oberon's mind was elsewhere - so he was somewhat thankful that it was Paxton Fudge who'd been noticed to be drifting off and not his actual... lack of attention. It was just... so very hard to pay attention to Professor Darrow when he was talking about things like Goblins and Hogsmeade. Neither event really mattered that much in the scheme of things - or at least that's what he'd decided.
It wasn't as if Goblins were rising up now anyway - that would be far too interesting.
Instead his mind was on one of his two great passions in his life: food. And his complete lack of foresight to sneak anything into this class - though he knew the chances of being caught having done so would've probably been both high and worth it.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Emma Flitwick - February 11, 2022
It was odd to think of Hogsmeade as being that old - somehow, perhaps because of the age of the shops and the fact that sometimes if felt like the families of her friends and housemates had made the village - the idea that it was almost as old as the school was strange - in comparison to the schools austere form and classical architecture Hogsmeade felt practically modern.
Emma dutifully made her notes, determined to impress Professor Darrow in the homework on the subject.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Naima Mokani - February 26, 2022
Naima wasn't much of one for interacting in class, especially History of Magic. So she sat in the middle of class, as per usual, quill in hand and making notes. She'd found it quite amusing, to see Mr. Fudge asleep in the middle of class, but she knew better than to laugh. Still, she couldn't have helped the small quirk of a smile from her face. But class had otherwise been...uneventful. Goblin rebellions aside, Naima knew she probably wouldn't need much of this information for her future.
Especially if Mama insisted she go to finishing school.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Archer Belby - February 26, 2022
The tips of Archer's ears grew pink from second hand embarrassment for poor Mr. Fudge, but he didn't allow the unexpected change in schedule to bother him too much.
When it seemed they had switched back to the topic at hand, Archer continued to scribble notes onto his parchment. He beamed at Emma Binns when she received points for their house, but he otherwise withdrew into quiet, hoping he would continue to remain invisible.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Hamish Darrow - March 2, 2022
"And five points for Gryffindor, Miss Slughorn," Hamish affirmed with a smile before continuing on in his lecture. (Most of) the students diligently took notes, asking an occasional question here and there, and the rest of the hour progressed quite quickly. Before he knew it, their time together was just about at its end.
"Any last questions before I release you into the wild?" the professor inquired.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Leander Hobday - March 5, 2022
Leander had no other questions so he simply finished writing up his notes and packed up. He made sure that he had everything and waited patiently to be released from class.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Alcyone Slughorn - March 5, 2022
Alcyone was pleased to have gotten points for her house. The rest of class progressed as it usually did and soon the professor seemed ready to dismiss them so she packed up and got ready to go.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Emma Flitwick - March 7, 2022
'Are there any other books on this you'd recommend Professor Darrow?' Emma asked, having already procured some from her uncle, but never short of a steady supply of books, trying to ignore the eye rolls of some of her classmates, who would of course disdain her for the delaying their release to the more pleasant evening activities.
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Hamish Darrow - March 20, 2022
"Indeed," he chuckled in answer to the Ravenclaw's question. "Miss Nye has already been kind enough to pull my selection from the library shelves—simply ask for Professor Darrow's OWL-level recommendations!"
RE: Don't Sleep on History {Years 3-5} - Emma Flitwick - March 20, 2022
'Thank you sir' she enthused, scribbling down that Miss Nye already had them set aside and determining to head to the library straight after class, mostly to ensure she got the first pick of the books ahead of her classmates, not that any of them seemed inclined to delay their visit to the great hall and all of the delights of the Hogwarts lunchtime in favor of going to the library
