RE: 10,000 Hours - Jesse Hatchitt - December 31, 2020

Jess hummed out a little noise of agreement; she would know better after all. The ladies had known one another for a long while, growing up together did not just mean physically. From what little he did know about Miss Skovgaard and her life, she must have had to grow up very quickly indeed. The healing did suit her though, that he could see plain as day the way she carried herself at the hospital during his stay.

Giving her a nod when she found the box, as if reading his thoughts, Jess smiled as she did after she opened it. "Though it would be a nice matching set." When he decided to give her ring back of course. Things had to be a little more settled than they were currently though, for that to happen, but it was tucked away safely until then.

"I'm glad you like it." He really hadn't the foggiest if she was even the type to wear jewelry, but he supposed since she had liked the ring so much, a matching necklace wasn't too much of a leap. He reached out to run a hand down the nearest part of her he could reach, which happed to sort of be her thigh, with his free hand. While Jess was not the type to be good at getting presents, he did like giving them.

RE: 10,000 Hours - Fallon Gillespie - December 31, 2020

Although she was unlikely to wear the necklace on a regular basis, Fallon still admired its beauty. The pendant was a tad too big for it to be discreetly tucked beneath her robes, but, perhaps, she could carry it in her pocket as she had the ring. It would certainly prove a good remembrance of him throughout her absence. Though, if she were smart, she would transfigure it to resemble something else entirely. A pocket watch, maybe?

Her ears perked up at the mention of the matching set. The ring must not have been destroyed in the chaos, then. What a relief that tidbit of knowledge was. However, that he hadn't thought to give it back yet was a tad concerning. Did he believe her affection for him to be fickle? That any promises made now wouldn't be held true? Fallon turned the pendant over in her hands before leaning across the blanket to kiss him softly. Just as he'd allowed the subject of his mother and her work to drop, she wasn't about to question the ring tonight, either.

"Help me put it on?" She was perfectly capable of doing it herself, but if they only had until midnight Fallon wanted to ensure she thanked him properly.

Jess drained his glass before sitting up, intent on filling it once more, but was interrupted in his mission by the unexpected kiss. He smiled into it, indulging himself by running a hand into her hair. He leaned back as she did, chuckling as he took the necklace to drape it around her neck and fasten it. The fact that the necklace suited her just fine was a perk. She didn't seem like the kind to wear much jewelry, which was why he'd tried to pick something small and understated. That it had a daisy was intentional too. Everything he did was intentional, after all.

With her hair out of the way, her exposed skin was far too tempting and he couldn't help but to lean in and press his lips to her neck, hands itching to wander in the direction he was fairly confident the evening would go, if he played his cards right; which was fairly easy to do where Fallon was concerned. . .
