Finishing off his drink, Jess got up momentarily to put it back on the small serving bar, before resuming his seat near Miss Abernathy. "I had to work at it quite a bit too, actually. I think nectar it didn't come easily, I was more determined to do well with it." The challenge of it made him push harder as he wound up enjoying it in immensely
"Indeed, just last month I was called to a home in Bartonburg because a child has transformed himself and his playmates into ducklings. Catching them and turning them back was almost an all day affair. Not quite as exciting as a day in your life I suppose, but I do enjoy it." It was problem solving without the danger, that he could certainly live with.
Taking a moment to survey the game, Jess watched, almost in slow motion, at Bixby caught a bludger to the knee and then it disappeared into the stands. Oh shit.
"Ah bollocks," He's swore under his breath, looking at his conversation partner and then toward the sit where several of their coworkers were already moving. "So much for a day off."

"Ducklings?" She asked with a raised brow. What a mess that must've been, trying to corral little ducklings. "That's hysterical, were they all accoun—"
Fallon had turned back to follow the game for a moment as the Oaf struck a bludger into the crowd. She watched the ball move at a snail's pace, her eyes widening impossibly as the screams began to fill the air.
Oh, fuck.
The Oaf's bludger didn't rise again, and that's when she realized it was likely because it was stuck.
"Bloody hell," she murmured, more in stunned silence than disdain. "Did it hit someone?"

"Hard to tell," Jesse had flipped into work mode, rolling up his sleeves as he looked out across the pitch. "But grounding players only happens in extreme circumstances." Jess knew he would have little to do with whatever chaos ensued, but he caught his brother's eye from across the room and understood the look telling him to follow along. Though his department wouldn't be involved, Gabe and Miss Abernathy would likely be needed and he could at least provide crowd control, if not some expertise on whether or not the bludger had been tampered with.
"We're probably needed for support." He nodded off toward the exit. Truly never a day off. Merlin he hoped nothing too terrible had happened.
