Jacques lips quirked into a smile as the man stated who he wished the art piece to be modeled after. "I would be more than happy to create a sculpture of your cat. And since you are a friend of my nephew I will give you a price at lower cost than I usually give." See? He could be nice when he wanted to be.

Bragi messed up his hair bashfully, both humbled by the offer and flattered at the idea of being a friend to Tristan Michaud. Were they friends...? Well, Bragi liked to think so! But he imagined himself to be barely a drop of rain in Tristan's ocean.

"That's terribly kind of you", he replied modestly. "We're both very grateful", he looked down at his cat, who sat there dully, as if she were already a sculpture. "Do send me an owl, if you would, and let me know when you're free to begin the project. I'm happy to pay upfront."

"I will be sure to send you an owl. How still do you think you can make her sit? I will need her to sit for me so I can give a better product," Jacques said. From his experiences with his own cat, they tended to be all over the place.

"I'll figure it out", Bragi chuckled — for the artist was quite right. Making a cat sit — and keeping her there — was no easy feat. But Bragi wasn't intending on using wizarding means. "I have a little enchanted bird from childhood that she sometimes just gazes at for hours..."

"Excellent," Jacques said with a smile when Mr. Holm said he would figure it out. "That would work quite well. Will you be wanting to be with her in the room or would you just be leaving her with me? I do have cats of my own but they tend to be social enough." Certainly more social than their owner at any rate.

"Er", the lad hesitated, knowing that Marian (who was admittedly rather spoiled) could be quite jealous and self-entitled around other cats. "Perhaps I'd best stay in the room with her, at least initially. If that's okay", Bragi added, not wishing to interfere with the artist's process.

"That is more than all right. Contact me when you have the time then. I will only need you both at least twice and then I'll be able to finish up without needing to trouble the both of you." His process tended to be to paint a portrait of the subject and then sculpt. That arranged, Jacques moved to leave.
