RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Kailani Hekekia - June 9, 2020

The day was here! Kaili had woven bright red and white ribbons through her hair, vivid flowers of her homeland, the national flower, the bright yellow hibiscus adorned the clips that held her hair out of her face. She had taken her place along side her fellow chasers, done the obligatory wave to the crowds and kicked off.

When the whistle blew she made an attempt to take the quaffle from the toss up

(Hope I've done this right! )

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Lopaka - June 9, 2020

It was windy, but Lopaka had played under worse circumstances. The quaffle was thrown and Kailani took hold of it. As such, Lopaka flew towards the British scoring area to be available for passes.
C3 > B4

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Kailani Hekekia - June 9, 2020

Kaili was a vocal player, she would sing, squeal, yell and other vocalise while flying and when the quaffle thuded into her hands she let out an excited yip and zipped off down the field, and as Lopaka flew down one wing, she took the opposite - if she didn't have the chance to score she would have more options to pass

C3 - D4

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Kokoikikane - June 9, 2020

Ko wasn't bothered by the wind; as a broom surfer he almost preferred it to a nice, still day.

Wasting no time once the quaffle was thrown, he headed towards the nearest bludger.

D2->C2

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Kaimana - June 9, 2020

The wind was welcome, reminding him a little of the sea. But there was a game to focus on, and Kaimana was determined to give his all. Deciding to hang back in case the other team got hold of the quaffle, he kept an eye out in case it headed his way.

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Rufus Bixby - June 9, 2020

The Hawaiian players to quick to snag the quaffle, streaking down the field toward him. The bludger directly behind him, Rufus dropped below one of the Hawaiian players so the beaters could take aim, in hopes he would be able to catch the quaffle upon such a hit.
(C3>D4)

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Makoa - June 9, 2020

Makoa was eager to defeat the British and advance in the world cup rankings (and move on out of England). He missed the great open of the sea more than he anticipated.

He watched with a grin as Kailani quickly caught the quaffle and chose to maintain his spot in the middle of the goal posts.

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Arthur Pettigrew - June 9, 2020

He wished it was raining; Art thought a cold British rainy day would have done them well.

He followed the girl with the Quaffle.

[C3->D4]

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Esteban Zavala - June 9, 2020

Esteban hovered in place, ready to guard the hoops when the time came. He could see them zipping towards him and hoped the beaters would slow them down.

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Cassius Lestrange - June 9, 2020

Cash was here, and largely disinterested in the movement of the Quaffle. He shot upwards on his broomstick, planning on keeping above this nonsense in order to better keep his eye out for the snitch, even though really no one should expect to see the snitch yet.

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Kokoikikane - June 9, 2020

Having reached the bludger, Kokoikikane hit it at the first British player who seemed to be doing something.

[C2, hitting bludger at Art Pettigrew]
@"Elsie Beauregard" (I think? Sorry if I don't need you yet, idk xD)

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Beckett Longbottom - June 9, 2020

Welp.

Beckett zoomed up to hit the nearest bludger and whacked it at the Hawaiian chaser with the quaffle.

D4 > C4

Kokoikikane that's fine! I always mod bludger hits, it's more for scoring attempts!

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Kokoikikane - June 9, 2020

Ko noticed the other bludger zooming towards his teammate and steered his broom in her direction. He didn't have much hope of getting to her before the bludger did, so hopefully she was prepared to dodge at least once before he swooped in to redirect it.

[C2 -> C3]

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Lopaka - June 9, 2020

Lopaka flew towards Kailani, so he would be nearby in case her possession of the quaffle was threatened by the British.

B4 > C4

RE: QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii - Kailani Hekekia - June 9, 2020

Kaili was agressive and fast and with the bludger baring down on her she had few options and with Lopaka in opposite wing discretion was the better part of valor and she attempted a pass to her team mate rather than risk losing control of the quaffle
