Born in a Precarious Situation |
Late 1871 | Liliana's mother was a beautiful woman, though a hint vain if one were to be honest. Charming as she was, she had not been born to wealth. That did not stop her from looking to the future, and she planned to attempt to convince Trystan to marry her after convincing him to come to her bed. This goal was not achieved, though the attempts were... delightful. To later learn that she was pregnant and unwed was, however, not so delightful. |
1872 | Liliana Emily Selwyn is born and actually becomes claimed by her birth father. Her mother had passed while giving birth to her and any family that could have come forward had chosen to remain silent in the hopes of a better life for the child. |
1874 | More illegitimates are born, later to be known to Lily as her twin cousins. Her father is placed into an arranged marriage with a woman who hates everyone. |
1877 | Chaos in London. Lily overhears a lot as she wanders the halls, and there is some concern felt for the well-being of her uncle in London. |
1880 | Grandmother dies. |
1882 | Grandfather dies and Lily's father becomes the head of the household. |
Small Reprieve |
1883 | Off to Hogwarts and she is sorted into Gryffindor. This isn't something she expected, though she doesn't think it's wrong. |
1885 — 1886 | Her chosen electives Divination. She has a real 'gift' for seeing the hidden desires of her peers. |
1888 | She ends up having a very large crush on a quidditch player. This is quite inconvenient given her loathing for the sport. Her OWLs aren't the greatest in the world, but she passes well enough. By the next school year, she has chosen to keep Astronomy, Charms, DADA, and Divination. |
1889 | At the end of the year, such a crush has faded, as teen crushes tend to do. Still, she does like the thought of finding a nice, handsome gentleman to settle down with. |
1890 | Her last year at Hogwarts and her step-monster is absolutely no help in choosing a dress for the coming out ball. The very nerve! Liliana is quite determined to find a husband as soon as possible to spite the old bat. |
Running for Cover |
Mid-November, 1890 | Liliana begins courting. |
February 14, 1891 | A birthday party turns into an engagement party when Liliana is proposed to by her courter. Obviously, she says yes. |
Flying Free |
June 30, 1891 | Liliana and Chester marry, making Liliana a Parkinson. The step-monster isn't there, like the selfish hag she is. |
June 2, 1892 | Trystan Chester Parkinson — named Trystan to honor his maternal grandfather and Chester in honor of his father — is born as Liliana and Chester Parkinson's first-born son. Liliana is particularly proud at this development. Especially pleased with Chester's allowance of her naming choices. |
August 1, 1893 | Another son is born and named Elwood Lilian Parkinson — named Elwood in honor his paternal grandfather and Lilian as a masculine version of Liliana's own name. Liliana craves having a daughter. |
September 14, 1893 | Dragon attack in London. One sister-in-law dead by dragon, mother-in-law ill by dragon pox. |
September 23, 1893 | Liliana's most antagonizing sister-in-law — Jessamine — gets on her last nerve, but slips up in the process and reveals a secret boyfriend. Taking the biggest advantage of her life, Liliana decides to blackmail her so she will finally be treated with an ounce of respect from the foul wench. There may be other benefits to this blackmail that she has yet to uncover. |
