He was brought up as the slightly less favoured middle child of a trio that was encouraged to compete for what little affection their father would spare them. Father would frequently make obvious comparisons between them leading to an almost absent closeness of the brothers and a perception that if either of the others succeeded then they would be treated as a failure.

Conrad has brought this to his older life, he was known for it in school, being unwilling to help his peers out lest they get an advantage over him and now into his Auror training course. He is a very intelligent and dedicated individual performing well, but sees everyone else on the course as a rival to outshine.

He loves to box and is registered with the muggle amateur boxing association.

He has never understood the courage it took for his mother to raise her sons with love in such a hostile household and has always been taught that she was weaker than his father and at the bottom of the pecking order in the household as the boys grew up. This has coloured his impression of women. He is not rude, his mother taught him better, he even has the capacity to be quite charming when it fits. But he has a very traditional sense of women's place in the world as subordinate to men and primarily.

What he doesn't realise while seemingly doing so well as a trainee Auror that behind the scenes, uncle on his mother's side, a career ministry member has been helping to grease his wheels.
