Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Appearance
Though she is a Metamorphmagus, Antoinette's appearance is almost always constant. A woman of average height with warm brown skin and deep brown eyes. Her hair is her most changing feature, as she enjoys wearing it in a variety of different styles no matter what the fashion is, much to her mother's chagrin. In clothing, Antoinette is entirely practical, choosing outfits that won't restrict movement, but also that won't stand out too much.
History
1875
Birth
Antoinette joins the family of acclaimed Auror Peter Stokes. Already beat to the punch by two older brothers, it's assumed she'll mostly be the responsibility of her mother, though she is partially named after her father, as though having a junior wasn't enough.
1875-1886
The Early Years
Antoinette is very much treated as a doll in her young years, encouraged to wear the nicest dresses that Mother can get her hands on and to speak as though she had already gone to finishing school, if she spoke at all. Antoinette longed for the mischievous games of her brothers, or the attention of her father, who always seemed busy with one thing or another. Her earliest accidental magic turns out to be shifting the fabric in her skirt to allow for more running, though her earliest noticed accidental magic was snatching a toy away from Eric after he teased her for being too short. Even then, she is teased for having shown signs of magic later than he did. Antoinette believed that when her brothers went off to Hogwarts, that would mean more time for her and her father, who she'd grown to idolize given the way that almost everybody spoke of him as though he were some sort of legend. Despite spending more time around her mother, Annie always saw more of herself in her father. It doesn't help that comparisons between Annie and her brothers are made frequently. The one quirk Antoinette has all to herself (besides the whole being a girl thing) is her Metamorphmagus ability. Discovered after a particularly emotional tantrum, Antoinette was often taught to keep it to herself. Her mother thought it was unladylike to potentially mock others by changing your appearance, while her father thought it might be beneficial for her to have at least one advantage in a fight.
1886 - 1893
School Years
While her brothers ended up in Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, respectively, Antoinette finds herself in Slytherin. For her, it's not as much of a surprise as the letter her mother sends her telling her how proud she is of her, encouraging her to do well on her studies. During her second year, Antoinette's father sustains a career-ending injury. While this is overall unfortunate, it does give Annie more of a chance to pester him with the many, many questions that she has about being an Auror. Her mother continues to discourage this line of thought, but with Peter Jr's grades not looking good, Peter Sr. isn't about to place his eggs all in one basket. In third year, Antoinette chooses Care of Magical Creatures and Earth Magic as her electives. This predictably ends up causing some arguments between Annie and her mother, but Earth Magic does manage to bring them together a little bit. She also attempts to get her brothers to call her "Anne" instead of "Annie" as a nickname. This goes poorly. In fourth year, Antoinette decides to stop trying out for the Quidditch team after repeated attempts that always ended in failure. Usually because of her fear of going too fast on a broomstick. Also, Eric surprises no one by becoming a Healer. In fifth year, Antoinette focuses entirely on her studies, cutting off a few friends while she does so and ending up feeling somewhat alone. She resolves to fix this--after her OWL grades come out. Sixth year sees Antoinette grow a little more into herself in terms of the people she's friends with. Class and gender start to matter a little less to her. Seventh year, and now Antoinette has friends who actually encourage her studies instead of spending their library time gossiping about her. She isn't able to convince any of them to do practice duels with her, but it doesn't matter: 4 O's and 5 E's later (and with some help from her father), Antoinette submits her application for the Auror Training Program. Oh, and also attends the Hogwarts Coming Out Ball, at her mother's insistence.
1893-present
Auror-in-Training
Antoinette makes it into the Auror Training Program. Her first year is a little tough, but she makes it through in one piece and it's onto the next year. Just a couple more years until she's out there proving herself to the world. Hopefully.
Personality
In a more accepting world, Anne would be a softer person. In this one, she's had enough of dealing with people who say she's not good enough because she's a woman, or because she won't be able to surpass her father's legendary career that it's made her tough, almost paranoid. Antoinette's ideal of an Auror has been her father for so long that she's not sure how to do it by being herself, which conflicts with the ideals that her mother pushes on her of what being a lady should be. Antoinette is a little confused about the direction she wants to go in--is it better to go with her gut, or trust other people? And is there a way to do both?
