1867 | Sébastien Laurent Delacour is born the second son to Loïc and Inès Delacour. The family dote on him as much as they would a second son, but eventually Sébastien is left to his own devices, even by the nannies which they soon come to regret seeing as he has a knack for getting himself into trouble. |
1875
| At just 8 years old while throwing a tantrum, Bash performs his first act of magic by turning his father's most expensive bottle of wine into water. It earns him a spanking, going to bed with no dinner for one night and no dessert for a week. |
1878-1885 Beauxbatons | School finds Bash hitting his stride; he loves the work and enjoys learning about both the magical and muggle worlds, the latter of which scandalizes his family. However given he is the second son, they are only temporarily transfixed by this for so long before — hark! A baby sister is born, and all attention promptly moves off of Bash. For that, he is grateful for his new baby sister who he finds out is named Victoire Inès, an inversion of his mother's name which he doesn't entirely understand since his eldest brother is not named after his father. When he points this out, he is immediately ignored. The girl remains named Victoire.
Around this time they receive word that their cousin, Haskell Maxime has died from unexpected and unknown causes which means his cousin Timoleon, who Bash has always thought of as a bit of a prissy-but-amusing bully, is now set to inherit. When attending the funeral, Bash observes Leo as being absolutely unaffected by his brother's death in any negative way and again, finds this amusing. He wanders over to talk to Leo to give his condolences and not for absolutely any other reason, but is immediately brushed off by his older cousin. Bash again finds this rather amusing and leaves to go find his own older brother who seems rather unsettled by Haskell's death.
This observation, Bash tucks away for later use.
He continues to succeed in school, indeed in most if not all of his studies, as is expected of him. He might not be the heir to his family but he is certainly expected to uphold the family reputation (a fact that is constantly shoved in his face and which therefore is constantly at the back of his mind). When he finds a particular interest in alchemy, Bash begins to experiment at school. First with small, almost inconsequential things, seeing what combination of ingredients might work well together; and then with something larger that erm - accidentally obliterates the entire Beauxbatons potions room. Three students are sent to the hospital wing for a week while Bash emerges unscathed and rather proud of himself. That is, until he is recalled home during a long weekend and is made to pay then, and still carries the scars on his back from the punishment.
Bash graduates Beauxbatons with high marks and eventually sees himself hired on as an amateur curse breaker for a large wizarding bank in Paris - much to his family's displeasure. It’s around this time that he starts to study to become an animagus.

1888
| On the three year anniversary of his employment for the bank, Bash is on a particularly tricky mission with a rather reckless superior. in England While he is extremely cautious, a bout of overconfidence with an ancient and cursed object on his superior's behalf lands Bash in St. Mungo's with third degree burns on his torso and down his arms.
It is the exact excuse that his family need to draw him away from this dangerous life and see him betrothed to a Miss Élodie _____. At least Bash hadn't ever fathered a bastard unlike his brother. Sébastien is furious at this feat of manipulation, despite the fact that his new fiancée is extraordinarily beautiful — with an equally beautiful brother. He has no choice but to go through with the marriage seeing as there's a considerable dowry attached to Miss _____. The only upside to all of this is he finally achieves his animagus form. |
1889
| Sébastien and Élodie are married in a grand ceremony back at the family estate just outside of Paris, and then set off for their honeymoon. While it's not the most grand of adventures Bash has ever been on, he finds both it and his new wife rather enjoyable. They settle into a nice rhythm for their first year, having been given a nice house in Magical Paris complete with staff and even a house elf - something that Bash didn't expect, but is pleasantly surprised by. He still works as a contract curse breaker for multiple banks in multiple countries, something his family is still dismayed by. |
1890
| On a visit to his in-laws in Marseilles, Élodie contracts a magical illness and is immediately quarantined from Bash. After a month of illness, wherein Bash has to return to Paris for work, Élodie dies and Bash is widowed. On the bright side, he finds comfort in his brother-in-law, and forms a friendship with him. Though he genuinely mourns his wife's loss, Bash recovers rather quickly from her death and purchases a flat in Magical London with some of her dowry. He also happens to begin an affair with his brother-in-law which lasts approximately four months. |
1893
| Word reaches him of his cousin Leo Maxime running for British Minister for Magic. Bash is thoroughly amused by this, and makes sure he's present on the day the election is announced — and of course, is even more tickled when Leo loses. He sends him a card expressing his condolences. |
Present Day
| Having settled into a routine of being contracted as a curse breaker for multiple countries, Bash is perfectly content with his lifestyle nowadays. He makes extra money on the side attending parties and providing/ creating the substances that are often imbibed, which gives him time to relax and unwind and - more importantly - indulge. |
