1865 - 1876 Childhood	Dean joins an elder brother and though he doesn’t know it yet, will grow into a very settled second son. Maella and Tobias join the family at regular three-year intervals. Dean is mostly unphased, though does often engage with his siblings in play, is just as comfortable reading a book on his own. Raised in a bilingual household, as his mother is French, Dean finds his love of languages early and as soon as he begins with a governess starts on Italian and Latin in addition to his other studies.
1876 - 1883 Hogwarts	Dean takes to Hogwarts like a fish to water. He is gregarious and affable, making friends easily and also enjoys his studies. It helps that Crawford is already there and helps him break the ice. Third year sees him adding Ancient Runes, as it is as close to a language as he can find. He’s been keeping up with those studies outside of his regular academics, finding it helpful that he has native speakers of several languages to practice with. He also winds up taking Gobbledegook at Hogwarts as well. Siblings come and go, but his Hogwarts career is largely unremarkable, devoid of prefect duties or sports, though he does enjoy clubs as his extracurriculars and is particularly good at Gobstones and Wizards Chess.
June - January 1883 Life Abroad	Afforded the chance to take a few months to travel, Dean immediately takes off. Considering he is already fluent in five languages with the intention to pick up more, the entire time spent traveling is utterly enjoyable. He goes to Greece, Italy, France, Germany, the States, spending enough time in each to truly appreciate the country before the itch to move on needs to be scratched. A few other itches get scratched abroad as well, and Dean learns a lot about himself while he is away from home.
1884 - 1885 Internship	Dean knew what he wanted to do before he even graduated, but once he returns from traveling that he falls into the path. He takes on an internship in Magical Cooperation. His gift for languages seems like a natural path into a career, plus it allows that life of travel he craves. Diplomacy also comes naturally to him and he finds the fit perfect, even if paperwork might be the death of him.
1885 - Present Ministry Career	His career absorbs most of his time, but with something that keeps him busy and engaged, it’s hard to complain about it. He has created something to be proud of, in his opinion and as he approaches thirty, is finally thinking about starting to settle down. Maybe. His sister gets caught up in a whirlwind romance shortly after her graduation and it leaves Dean feeling some kind of way, but oddly proud of her for going for what she wants, unwilling to settle for less.
