1½ Royal Crescent, Bath The Bath house is part of a magical version of the Royal Crescent accessed by a door at the end. Muggles cannot see this door unless physically touching a witch or wizard. Once through, this “flip side” of the crescent mirrors the architecture of the original, though dwellings are often magically enlarged on the inside and boast rear gardens of no mean size.

“The Castle”, Nevis Range, Scotland It used to have a proper name, but it’s been in the family for literally hundreds of years. This “country home” of the Rowle family is actually a castle hewn into the Nevis range in Scotland. Muggles who get too close will feel a distinct sensation that they have forgotten something terribly important, and livestock left to graze nearby are occasionally eaten by Algernon Rowle’s prized lions. Each of the married Rowle children have their own wing within the castle added on when they marry like some sort of weird Encanto deal.

Appearance
General | Sibylla has fair blonde hair and bright blue-grey eyes. She stands at 5 foot 2¾ inches.

Expressions | She can express great joy when she means to. When truly angered, however, her stare can feel like daggers.

Deportment | While Sibylla does not strive for intimidation, she also does not make an effort to make herself small either. She will stand with power if she absolutely needs to — mostly towards her household staff, her children, or when she feels genuinely threatened. Overall, she strives to appear kind and welcoming, letting herself show a hint of relax in her shoulders and stride along with maintaining a sense of grace.

Accessories | She feels that a rose gold or silver flatters her more than bright golds. Red and green gems catch her eyes more than anything else, but she doesn't restrict her wardrobe based on it. Her gloves and hats often have custom designs that are carefully discussed and picked out before purchased.

Fashion | Sibylla will choose the outfit to match the accessories. If any gloves or hats already have a specific pattern, she will find — or request to have made — outfits to fit the style. She enjoys the intricate and precise. Often, this leaves her with designs unique to her and favors two specific tailors. One in France and one in London. It depends on what style she is looking for.

Scent | Rose water and other light scents.

Distinguishing Characteristics | An incredibly subtle gap in her teeth.

Face Claim | Nell Hudson
History
Clever Girl
1859 — 1869Sibylla's childhood goes largely as uneventful. She is the middle child of three daughters to their branch of the Crabbe family. Both parents are largely disappointed in having a lack of sons, though their last pregnancy makes it certain that Mrs. Crabbe should not be trying again. From an early age, Sibylla is taught that while her joy in asking questions can be a blessing, she must learn the delicate art of knowing when and how to ask the right questions as a lady of society. Each daughter displays her own signs of magic in their own time, before receiving their letters for Hogwarts.
Academic Excellence
1870 — 1877Each daughter is placed in a separate house. The oldest, to Gryffindor of all places. Sibylla to Ravenclaw, her own governess was all too certain that this was her path due to a deep love for learning and asking questions. The youngest goes into Hufflepuff. None of the sisters are overall displaced by this turn of events, having their own little groups of social interactions, but never holding fast towards house pride. Sibylla is close enough in age to at least have one year passing by in the halls from either sister.

While Sibylla is — at face value — an up standing student who doesn't make trouble or cause drama, she does fall into a group of friends including Miss Alexandra Tripe. Miss Tripe likes to fancy herself as the boss and the two often end up butting heads. Despite Miss Tripe being a year ahead, Sibylla works her hardest to better the older girl at any chance. Even going along with her mother's wishes in taking Divination just to keep in the running with the other girl. Most comments made between the pair are passive aggressive at worst and outright friendly at the best of times.

Unlike Miss Tripe, Sibylla becomes prefect during the placements for her fifth year, which gives her a smug satisfaction that she holds between the two of them. Hogwarts should be grateful that the two girls were indeed a year apart so thus could not go against one another for the position for Head Girl. Sibylla did end up getting the position in her own seventh year and ruled with a more lenient touch than the girl before her, though was still stern and prepared to enact Head Girl Appropriate justice when needed.
Social Striving
1877 — 1879Sibylla graduates just in time for the muggle riots. This leaves her family to prioritize Hogsmeade and the estate for social gatherings. Meanwhile, Sibylla is placed in a finishing school abroad so that she has a chance when things calm down in London. She returns in 1879 upon hearing of a match to a respectable first-born son of the Rowle family. She is indifferent to the man himself yet pleased with the match. She trusts her parents have made the choice that is best for her, and the duo are married before the year is out.
1880 — 1892Despite the romance novels that her fellow ladies adore so much — she prefers non-fiction, though she will humor her friends with the fictional genre so that they may gossip freely about their latest read — Sibylla and Robert maintain a civil distance from one another when roaming the halls of their home, limit their time in bed to strictly the duties of their marriage, and make small talk in the morning when appropriate. Overall, Sibylla runs the house and is thrilled to do so. The meals and chores are discussed, the parties are planned, the children are managed, it's all an orderly display.

Oh yes, the children. Three in total thus far, though Sibylla would rather not be a repeat of her mother and does mean to have more. However, she isn't too fond of her husband's nighttime company, and he doesn't seem to be enthused by her either, so their infrequency and ill luck have left no children since 1884. Sibylla has mentally played with the idea of beginning an affair but doesn't trust that it won't get out in the open. Image is everything. That has been her entire life. She doesn't want everything in her life to implode.

During all of this, Miss Tripe becomes Mrs. Rowle. Now sisters-in-law, the two find themselves in a calmer field, especially since the family name is both theirs now and that means working together rather than against. Sibylla is definitely the calmer of the two. Alexandra doesn't have things as easy, losing a child to tragedy. Sibylla had faced her own miscarriages and a stillborn, but to lose a child to drowning was unthinkable. Despite the tragic event, Sibylla deems both of their lives to be rather splendid. Everything is right as it should be.
A Crack in the Matrix
1893 — PresentUntil it isn't. It begins when Sibylla finds her husband sobbing on the floor of his office. No. It begins with the news that her father-in-law has had a stroke. That's why she went into Robert's office in the first place. Why he was sobbing like a child beforehand, she couldn't begin to fathom. He had always been fairly put together. To the point of not being noticeable at all. The behavior doesn't stop there. Though more subtle than the outburst, he seems paranoid and his typical talent to go unnoticed in her head, now she couldn't help but to notice.
Personality
In Public | A pillar of the community. Sibylla strives to appear charitable, presentable, and a joy to be around. She prefers to attend parties, rather than hosting. But when she does host, her parties are planned to perfection. Detail is everything.

In the Home | Sibylla considers herself a fair person, though some of her staff might be pressed to say that she can be incredibly demanding when she puts her thought to something. Everything has to be perfect. This includes how her children are managed. Mistakes are not acceptable, and the governess is expected to report any. She's never made a genuine effort to get to know her husband outside of meal and decor preferences.
Other
Amortentia | Red wine and roses

Patronus | A panther

Boggart | A paper boy, yelling a falsehood or something that Sibylla is incredibly insecure about while holding out a paper that reads what he's saying as the headline. It varies whenever she sees one as her views and moods shift.

Hogwarts Clubs | Book club, chess club, and charms club

Western Star Sign | Capricorn

Hobbies | Hours in the library when she has time, quiet research that she doesn't do anything with. Horse riding.

Pets | A well trained raven and an owl
