Clarke is blonde with blue eyes and considers herself to be of average looks. Clarke simultaneously cares and also doesn’t care about her dress, it just depends on her mood. Her mother still follows most of the trends, a habit that she can’t seem to kick from her upbringing and thus, Clarke usually has decently fashionable attire.
Originally born in London before things really took a dive and the wizards flocked to Hogsmeade, Clarke grew up in a somewhat average wizarding family of average means. It was around the time that Clarke was a year old when the move happened and with it, her father’s business was suddenly booming. Being in magical construction (Hey, someone’s got to be building and charming the hell out of all of these magical buildings, right?) that their family finally started to make something of themselves, despite technically being a working-class family. Gold was gold regardless, but honestly, Clarke never really had any true knowledge of how well off they are since they continued to live modest lives.
Prior to their marriage, her mother was from a ‘pureblood’ (or so they claimed) family with deep pockets but she gave everything up in order to marry her somewhat average father. Something that she never quite understood, but it was clear that they loved each other deeply. She could just never seem to figure out how they'd ended up that way. Her mother was tall, blonde.. a bombshell and her father was.. well he was.. well.. he wasn't exactly a catch, but he was the nicest man she'd ever met.
That being said, she always felt a bit plain in comparison as compared to her mother but she tried not to let it bother her so much. She, along with both of her older brothers were blessed with their mother's coloring, blonde hair, blue eyes. Even her little sister looked as if she would be the spitting image of her mother, and she was barely a year. She was the only one of her siblings who she felt like was not blessed with her mother's good looks but as her teenage years approached and she lost some of her baby fat it soon became apparent that she had been wrong..
At home, Clarke always acted like one of the guys because her parents were always too busy to worry about how she was acting. It wasn't that they were absent parents, they just trusted their children and mostly left them to their own devices. During the summers however, when her brother's began to have friends over was when she had to begin navigating the sea of acting like a lady. When she got to school however, she was sorted into Slytherin, away from both of her brothers and their ridiculously good-looking friends. She eventually got past the whole mooning over older men (boys) phase (not that they ever knew).
Clarke is fairly proficient in all of her magical studies, but she doesn’t go above and beyond, leaving her somewhere in the middle of her peers as far as grades are concerned. Her essay work tells a different story however since it’s more of a physical task, as silly as that sounds. On another note, she shines in the more hands-on courses such as COMC, Potions and Herbology. Much like her father and older brothers, she likes to get her hands dirty. There’s just something much more fulfilling when doing rather than simply waving a wand.
Despite Clarke’s true nature, she can read a room and is usually smart enough to know when it's safe to mouth off and when she needs to keep her opinion to herself and play the part of the polite little miniature woman. Clarke would never be classified as rebellious, but rather bold, opinionated and fiercely independent, despite the times.
