Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff

Wand: 10", springy, kelpie hair, birch

Family: Philip Robins | Father | 1831
Frances Robins | Mother | 1835
Augusta Robins | Sister | 1864
Appearance
General | George stands rather tall at six feet, two inches and has a lithe build. He has blue eyes and a head of curls that can't seem to decide if they are dark blond or brown. He has an abundance of freckles that are especially prominent on the bridge of his nose. He wields his wand with his right hand.

Expressions | George has quite an expressive face. He might try to hide his emotions but he is incredibly bad at it. When he is saddened or disappointed, he might make one think of a kicked puppy. On the flip side, he has a smile that tends to light up his whole face and is usually thought to be infectious. George has a bad habit of not looking anyone directly in the eye unless he is super comfortable with them.

Deportment | Prone to slouching, George's posture tends to give off the feel that he is trying hide in plain sight. Maybe because he usually is. Which is rather hard to do considering how tall he is.

Fashion | George dresses simply but cleanly. His clothes tend to be a bit worn but are still considered to be in good condition. He favors clothing that are darker, muted colors so as not to stand out too much.

Accessories | He does not have any of note.

Scent | George does not wear cologne but tends to smell faintly of clean linen, soap and citrus.

Face Claim | Tom Webb
History
1866 | George is born the second child and only son of Frances and Philip Robins.

1869 | Gus and Georges father takes them to a Falmouth Falcons game. Gus is utterly taken by it while George is rather indifferent.

1870 | George starts attending a muggle school alongside his sister.

1871 | Philip abandons the family for Australia and a lass that is not his wife. It shakes the timid George to the core.

1875 | Gus goes off to Hogwarts and George feels her absence keenly. For a while, he is afraid that she will never come back.

1877 | George goes off to Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff.

1880 | Gus finishes school with her OWLs and signs onto the Holyhead Harpies.

1884 | The same year that he graduates, George and Gus move to Hogsmeade with their mother.  Their mother contracts the laughing plague and though she survives, her health is never quite the same. George begins working for the Goblin Liaison Office in the Ministry.

1886 | The family moves to Pennyworth which seems to lift mothers spirits. Her health seems to only be worsening and the house is at least more comfortable than their old one.

1890 | His inability to say no to people finally culminates in troubles with goblins that his superiors must fix. He is later transferred to the Spirit Division.

Personality
"But her brother had gotten the best of them, ought to be made of nothing but sunshine and daisies, and she suspected these ghost-cats could sense this more than the goblins had. (Or perhaps that had been George’s problem with the goblins. They could probably smell his kindness.) "
A tender heart and kind soul, George is the sort that is easily taken advantage of. He is timid and shy, not doing well in social settings. He is sensitive and gets his feelings hurt quite easily making him the sort of person that needs protecting. He loathes the idea of hurting other peoples feelings so is a people pleaser and has great difficulty in saying no to things.

This has led to more than one uncomfortable situation for him. He is gentle and soft, making him ideal for dealing with timid ghosts, child ghosts and ghost animals. Not so much for dealing with ghosts such as Barnaby Wye. He also has some deep seated abandonment issues that causes him to get entirely too attached to people.

Other
SKILLS
  • Speaks English and Gobbledegook fluently.
  • Can cast a dove patronus but he finds it mildly embarrassing.
  • Is passable at piano.

TRIVIA
  • Sexuality: a mystery to even George himself. Virgin. The very idea of sex is horrifying, if he's quite honest. And kissing!? What do you even do with all your limbs?
  • Utterly horrid at sports.
  • Is a death sentence to plants.
  • Is not a fighter but would get into one for Gus though she is tougher than him anyway.
  • His boggart is a goblin.
