Seeking a Spouse for the End of the World
Inspired by past shipping/hurling/whatever threads, I’ve decided to set one up except this time it’s a spreadsheet so no one person has to manage it.
Do you have a single lady? (or gent, or non-binary soul?) Let other players know they’re on the market by filling in this delightful spreadsheet! Players perusing can also use this to find characters that might meet their ~needs and contact the appropriate player!
There are three types of listing available:
Traditional Hurling: Characters to be thrown together to see what sticks. Minimal (if any!) pre-planning. Played characters only.
OOC-Arranged Match: Players decide OOC to hook up B and C. Mostly played characters, but unplayed siblings might find themselves here.
Betrothals: Who needs love when you have parents who know what’s best for you? Characters listed here are open to an IC-arranged match. May be played or unplayed characters.
Sex? is the question. Your answer depends on your character! Is your character open to non-marital relations? This may include extra-marital affairs, casual boning, or homosexual relationships.
Simply fill out the appropriate sheet(s) as shown! In the case of unplayed characters, links should be to the app they’re mentioned in—please don’t start listing your third cousin thrice removed!
All colors you see are done by conditional formatting and will appear as you enter text, so please do not cut & paste cells or it’ll mess that up! I’ll go in every now and again to alphabetize because I’m anal like that.
Can we make this one of those sortable tables? Does Google Sheets do that?
Like in excel you can click on a header and select which categories you want to view (so, for instance, I could show only the yes/maybes for "sex" to browse for affair hurling).

Since the spreadsheet is editable by anyone, I went to see if I could do it myself. If you click the inverted triangle next to the words "SEX?", you can now filter by values.

Hey, just a heads up that all of the character info (gender, class, etc.) keeps getting shuffled around. I've had to fix my character's spots a few times, but it's really jumbled right now and I think several other characters are all mixed up as well. I think it's only happening on the Traditional Hurling portion though.

Would it be poss to add a sexuality/orientation column? ^___^ I've added Bragi, but he a gay~

This bad boy is over a year old at this point and it looks like people didn't use it too much, which is probably why ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Given that we are all hurling with a vengeance right now, and some people only got one hurling match, it might be worth reinvigorating it.
I updated all of my peeps. I also created a third sort view since the second one wasn’t matching characters with the right players. This third view will sort on any column, because if you are like me you don’t like sorting restrictions.
Also, I am more than happy to go through and remove inactive players, but I didn’t want to do that unless I had staff approval.
We should totally clear out inactive characters and update this for the upcoming season! >D
