BELLA SCRIMGEOUR:
I was going to put this in adoptable plots but I realize its long enough to deserve its own thread and it's easier to organize any potential options here than unreliable skype. :P
On April 23rd, Bella was practically tortured by her father and decided to shoot a stunning spell at him before apparating somewhere. I never decided where that somewhere is, but I really want that somewhere to be right into someone — whether it be someone she knows or a stranger.
Here are the two options:
She knows them. Unless the universe aligned perfectly, it would be likely she purposefully decided they would be a good person to go to in the midst of panic attack rather than apparating to the perfect spot where they just so happened to be hanging around. That would require some of the following:
- She'd need to have a reason to believe they could offer her help. If she was so close to them and knew their family was shitty as well, she probably wouldn't choose to run to them for help.
- She has a reason for them to be on the forefront of her mind. She probably wouldn't apparate to that obscure friend from Hogwarts' house unless she was sure she could trust them.
- The other alternative is she had recent interactions with them and she just decided they were the best option on the fly. She would have to know them well enough to know where to find them, though!
This option would mostly be for the purpose of building an existing relationship. Maybe we've decided they're good friends but they haven't had much interaction, or maybe they've had ongoing things but need more interaction to force a presence in each other's lives! The second option is:
They're complete strangers. I assume this would be an ongoing thing only because if it wasn't, I'd have to figure out what to do with her right after they parted ways. For this option to work, they'd have to fit one (or multiple, if you could!) of the following options:
- They're close enough in age to her where she could build a realistic friendship with them, but not so close to where it's unreasonable that they wouldn't know each other. That means your 45-year-old married dude is probably not the best option for obvious reasons, unless:
- They're someone who would offer to help her — but with a caveat. Maybe they expect certain things from her and push her into situations she's uncomfortable with. Her boggart was literally her father attacking her, so I can imagine she might do things she might not usually to avoid going back home.
- Her interactions with them could introduce her into an up-and-coming or existing plot. This way, your character isn't stuck dealing with her but she would have something going forward.
- They could give her something new to care about. Maybe their job or hobbies or whatever is something she could find an interest in and lead her in a direction that isn't gardening and shit. :P
Other than that, they're are no requirements about gender, age, class, blood, etc.!
Bella's fate — class-wise, reputation-wise, everything — is pretty much up for discussion at the moment. She'd try to keep the "arrangement" (unless it's a more permanent solution) as quiet as she could because she doesn't want her father to have a way to find her and drag her back home.
Just know that if you do help me ruin help Bella, you will never go without posts. It could also open up potential relationships/interactions with people who are invested in Bella's life or well-being!
Of course, there is always , as you know. I couldn't see caring one bit about her friend being around as long as she stays away from him when he's drinking.
Nectar wouldn't mind helping a girl in need out (and I could always use the posts. (IDK how would feel, but I can see her being willing to help a person in need).
might help her out, though he'd have to keep her out of sight from his Aunt Jade (because that purist woman would so rat Bella out in an instant).
These are my offerings.
As discussed previously, Tilda would most definitely help her out if she thought Bella was in that much trouble / had been through what she had - and she'd most definitely teach her the works of what she knew; knife throwing, horsebackriding and handling dragons >D
Then again, is my little spitfire and has had a history with abuse at her biological parent's house before her aunt and uncle took her in as a ward. She'd offer advice and her two pets for cuddles xD
Apparate to Argus. She'll definitely be safe at his.
Just popping in to point out that apparition is risky under the best circumstances and if she either a) didn't know exactly where she was going or b) was under suitable duress, chances for a splinching are pretty high.
Which means for the sake of #realism you could pretty feasibly end up with her bleeding in a hospital. You know, in case there are any healers you might want to help her out for furthering plot reasons.
Edit: Oh and Ben is available if you want him. She does technically know where he lives. He'd probably book her a room in a Muggle inn somewhere and run to
for advice which is how you know he's in over his head. :P
Cora would totally help her out - if say julius but appearing to his house might not be the best idea unless she came to his office but if she did he would help her there. She would in fact, know exactly where these places are - assuming she's ever been to his office.
Or or Are at your disposal as you see fit.
Oh, and on the subject of interesting strangers:
would probably feel inclined to try and help a girl she saw in distress if no one else seemed likely to. She's a vampire en route to the vampire caverns. Do with that what you will.
could feasibly run into her if she's in London and his family has sort of a habit of taking in magical foundlings in need of assistance, which would also put her in the way of and . Potential plot drama there because if she figures out what the shady import store is/does she can't just walk out and tell the whole magical world about it so there might be a conversation to be had before they'd let her leave - and/or obliviating to be done? IDK we'd figure it out as we went. xD

yeeeeah I can say with 100% confidence that Bella would not apparate to Julius or anywhere there was a high chance her father would end up. :P

Things relevant people need to know:
❧ St. Mungo's People: Bella went MIA on April 23 and she did not show up to work. At least until the 26th-ish, Bella would not have been well enough to even look at any letters received. However, she may reply to any inquiries about her whereabouts after that, but she won't send out letters unless she receives them IC. Characters are free to assume and divvy out any consequences, specifically and/or .
❧ Regarding Rumors: People are free to speculate after the 26th or so, since that's when people outside of her superiors at St. Mungo's might realize she's not just off sick or something (especially since she's not the type to ever miss work). I assume any rumors outside of work would spread from people at work.
❧ Ministry People: Anyone working in law enforcement (you too, :P) won't know she's missing since her Aunt Laverna nor her parents have reported her disappearance yet. Stay tuned.

I am totally down for a Tiger/Bella thread once Lady and I establish her presence there (which is next on my agenda, whoops)! You should totally write out those Richard letters for documentation purposes
