Ladies Duel: Miss I. Noel vs. Mrs. A. Vorona
#1
Private
March 6th, 1891 — Hogsmeade Memorial Ballroom, Hogsmeade

The day was dragging. Ugh. Even presiding over a duel featuring the oddity that was Miss Noel of the Law Enforcement department did little to boost his morale.

"Begin when you're ready, Miss Noel."

The fact that the woman she faced now was qualified to be a Hogwarts professor immediately made this a duel she'd take far more seriously than the last. Here she didn't need to fear having to tiptoe around some debutante with fragile sensitivities. Instead, she would face against a woman who had taught her for four years. Meaning this wasn't something she needed to draw out. Better to try and finish this in two rounds.

She took her turn bowing then shot off a spell that would hopefully see her rival in a full body bind.

wonderful set made by tiff!
iziza is a half-goblin, meaning she is quite short. your character might not know why but they will notice her height and white hair that marks her as such.

Angelica was rightly proud of her success in the first round, but she hadn't grown accomplished by dwelling on past endeavors. Ambition moved forward and so would she. Keeping her face neutral at the sight of her former classmate officiating, Macmillan had always been a bit odd, Angelica focused on her opponent.

It was strange to face a young witch she knew as a student, and an accomplished one, but Angelica was no longer responsible for the girl's safety and this was not a matter of numbers. As soon as Miss Noel raised her wand, Angelica raised a massive shield wall, shoving the energy forward. Why not protect herself and throw her opponent back?

Mrs. Vorona's spell adequately shielded its caster from Miss Noel's attack. "The first round goes to Mrs. Vorona." He suddenly had an inkling of recognition but he couldn't figure out why. "You may begin the next round when you're ready." He addressed this to Mrs. Vorona.

It was time to end this. Angelica heard the score with satisfaction and then raised her wand, shooting a stunning spell at Miss Noel. Time to knock the younger witch out.

While she had no expectations to win the contest, she did want to get past the first round. She just needed to do better. A simple shield charm was her reply. She didn't need to be fancy, she needed to get the job done.

Well that was decisive, he thought as he looked down at Miss Noel's small and very unconscious body. He supposed he ought to remedy that before he officially announced the result.

"Mrs. Vorona is the winner!"
