Victorians could hire 'professional mourners' to attend their loved one's funeral. These people would partake in the procession and were not allowed to speak, just look awfully sad! — Rune

Kristoffer was going to be great at this, because he was great at everything. Also his memory was greater than everyone else's, because he bet no one else had ever lost their virginity somewhere exotic like Morocco. Hell, he bet no one else had even lost their virginity. Inexperienced losers.

April 11th, 1888 — Ministry of Magic Open House, Hogsmeade Hall
"You work for the Ministry, don't you?" she whispered to a gentleman in front of her. She had had to lean forward to speak to the man but she was quite certain he wasn't just another member of the public. The robes were a good hint. The Minister was still in the midst of taking questions but Yasmina didn't know how long that was going to go on for and was disinclined towards waiting it out. "That man is your boss, yes?" She inclined her head towards the front of the room, although there was a good chance the man she was addressing wasn't able to catch it. Good thing for context.

"What sort of man is he really?" If the poor fellow she was addressing didn't appreciate random women suddenly talking to him in very casual, conversational tones then he was out of luck because Yasmina had no intention of leaving him alone just yet.

OUTFIT | Open to a male Ministry employee who would be attending the Q&A

Lionel had been minding his own business as he listened to the sorts of questions being asked of the Minister and the mans answers. He was making note of it all as being aware of what people were concerned about now would only benefit him in the long run. Soon, his thoughts were disrupted, however. He didn't know the woman who was speaking to him nor was he inclined to change that.

Even so, she was a tad bit persistent and Lionel felt it would be seen as entirely rude for him to just ignore her as he dearly wished he could do. "Yes, he is," he replied, having missed the first question entirely though she would probably just repeat whatever it was, he figured. "He's a hard working man, I feel. One that obviously wants people to feel heard."

“I will swallow my blood before I swallow my pride.”

As far as Yasmina was aware, people in power were usually self-interested and power driven. They wanted to govern people but didn't actually care about those people. Was this one really any different? "Does he really want that or does he just want to seem as though he does?" Her brow furrowed in thought. She had no idea why this man might be equipped to give her accurate answers but he was surely more in the know than herself. She had to admit, this Minister Ross did strike her as genuine, but she had met her fair share of people who could imitate sincerity perfectly. "Do you know him? Personally, I mean."
