Did you know?

First names were most often used by childhood or school friends. If the friendship was made after school age, first names would only really be used by women. Men were far more likely to refer to their friends by their surnames, a mark of familiarity. — Documentation

WANTED:

Carson Bixby for Sloane Bixby. You can take the middle-aged man out of quidd—oh, apparently you can't.
Separating was also not a great idea, though they weren't doing great at staying together anyway. If she were to volunteer to be the human sacrifice.. well... Hogsmeade had plenty of debutantes anyway...

Owlcrate Anyone?

So there's this nifty monthly subscription that you may or may not heard of called OwlCrate. You get a fabulous box monthly with an exclusive book and other awesome things with it. I signed up cause I thought it would be fun and thought I'd share the info here in case anyone was interested. This would give whoever wants to an automatic same read as others that could easily be discussed if we wanted!

Here is this month's blurb and a link for the subscription. Apparently it sells out fast so if you're interested, jump on it asap!

"Do you enjoy mischief in the moonlight? Back-alley deals and dangerous games? Our April book pick will take you on a journey through a sinful city full of characters with loose morals, secret identities and sly tricks. The world building is enchanting, with a mysterious plot that will hook you immediately! The book will be an exclusive edition, and will be signed by the author! This exciting box will be filled with goodies inspired by Six of Crows, The Mortal Instruments, Harry Potter, The Young Elites and more! You don't want to miss this one!"

Link!

To me a book sold exclusively in a package where you don't get to know the name of the book or the author sounds like the equivalent of a direct-to-tv movie :P

Have you read any of them so far?

is it a crime to love too well?
To bear too tender, or too firm a heart, to act a lover's or a Roman's part?
Is there no bright reversion in the sky, for those who greatly think, or bravely die?

I have not. This is my first time doing it but you can see what was in previous boxes. My understanding of the "exclusive" book is your cover was specially designed for owl crate or the book is often times signed by the author.

These are some of the past boxes still available
