This would have been very disturbing anyway but then Pet's eye popped out and started rolling along the bottom of the boat. Great. Maybe she would be so fortunate as to have a kraken surface nearby and pluck her off the ship with one of its tentacles and kindly drown her. Petra Sleptova in Land, Ho!

December 21st, 1889 — Festive Night at the Frasers
Jacques could not remember how he had come to be invited to this particular party but he was glad he had made it. It looked like they were literally inside of a snow globe and he was Here for it. The eccentric artist did not quite know the Frasers but based on their house entirely, he liked them already.

The crowd around so far was also very much his general Type when it came to people he actually enjoyed being around. The occasional plunge into darkness was a little troublesome but not bad enough for Jacques to mind it as he saluted someone with a fresh glass of champagne.
