To say Angie was miserable was a bit of an understatement. She hadn't been out on assignment in over a month; she was coming down with a cold, she knew it; she was going stir crazy and frankly, October was a rough month for her. She had so many fond memories of Octobers past that facing this one without her best friends was utterly depressing. Of course only one of her best friends was actually gone, but the second was only a shadow of himself, not really there. Angie was well and truly worried about Cash, something was just so wrong with him, but she had absolutely no idea how to fix it! This month could have been such fun, with fairs and parties and possible expeditions, it would have been wonderful. Instead it was entirely lackluster and painful.

The cabin fever had driven her from her own flat, despite that congestion in her nose and dull ache in her temples, Angie had dragged herself to Souri's Pennyworth home to at least do something, anything other than sit in Eli's her room. Being stuck in London was only manageable for so long before she needed out. Unfortunately, there was little work to be done internationally and she was left in the bank far more than she would have ever liked.

"I need warmer weather and some sunshine." She whined from her curled-up position on Souri's couch. It was pouring rain outside and all she wanted was a bowl of soup and some tea and something to keep her mind off what was bugging her. She had yet to really tell Souri what happened, only that Eli was gone, but she wasn't even sure she'd ever even told Souri just how much she cared about Eli. Ugh it was all so frustration and she didn't want to open the flood gates, but it would be all too soon before she could get off this godforsaken island into warmer climates.

Days off from her job at the Hog's Head were rare. Between the fact that the pub had limited options as far as cooks went and she needed the pay to ensure a roof stayed over her head, Souri worked constantly. She'd begged off today using the excuse of "women's troubles" because she needed the break and, by pure coincidence, Angie ended up wanting to come over at the same time. It'd been a while since they'd last seen each other and since Souri didn't require solitude to relax, the other woman was more than welcome in her home.

"I don't even mind the rain and I agree." The most "exotic" place she'd ever been was Ireland so she didn't any solid ideas about what such a place would be like, but she liked it in theory. "There's only so much cold and wet you can stand before it gets old." To combat said cold, she'd put the kettle on and planned to fix them a hearty meal later on. For the moment though, she only sat up slightly from her position on the other side of the couch. "If you could leave, where would you go?" Nothing would come from fantasizing, but it was still nice to think about.
