    PUDDLEMERE REPLACES CHASER

O'FANNON SACKED; MICHAUD TO TAKE POSITION

Puddlemere United made a rare mid-season team change late Thursday afternoon, following a tumultuous game on Wednesday night against the Falmouth Falcons. The game was a close one, made more tense by Falmouth's current position as third in the league, following Puddlemere in first place and Banchory in second.

Falmouth had a consistent thirty-point lead for much of the game, and Puddlemere chaser Roderick O'Fannon allowed the quaffle to be intercepted on three separate occasions. Sources close to the team say O'Fannon may have been distracted following a heated argument he had with Puddlemere United sponsor Thom Pettigrew only moments before the game began.

Pettigrew announced that O'Fannon would be leaving the team effective immediately, and intends to replace him with second-string chaser Tristan Michaud.

Michaud was a recent Puddlemere hire, having left school early to join the team this season.

"I have every confidence in Michaud's abilities to take first string," Pettigrew announced. "He's shown great promise during his school career and has been an excellent addition to our team already. I wouldn't have taken him on so young if he wasn't exceptionally talented."

Mr. Pettigrew declined to comment about the decision to fire O'Fannon, and at this point nothing is known about the dispute between the two except vague rumors.
