What: Protests are fun!! ;) (Protest Against Hogwarts Half-Breed Ban & Marriage Restrictions)
Who: Juniper (and @Willow Middlemiss if Elaine agrees)
Everyone who would not approve the recent marriage and/or Hogwarts ban. All ages and classes and bloods invited, need all the support one can get.
Where: The Atrium of the Ministry of Magic Offices, London, England
Why: Juniper is insulted by the two bans. She is engaged, and not one for enjoying being told no.
    When: August 14th, 1887
    Forum: Please? Pretty please? :)

    What: The Sanditon Regatta
    Who: See Below
    Where: The Sanditon Resort
    Why: Boats?
    When: August 17-23
    Forum: Mais oui!

The Sanditon Regatta is the reason Herbert didn’t stay dead OOC, and possibly IC as well.

The event will consist, first and foremost, of three races:
The Sanditon Cup, sponsored by [Magical Steamship Company], which is essentially rich people riding small, magical, self-sailing yachts around the British mainland. They will set sail on the 18th, and are expected to get back on the 21st or 22nd #BecauseMagic. The prize is 10G and a solid gold ship in a bottle by way of tropy. The weather in the bottle reflects the weather outside wherever the bottle is, which is nice. Boats provided.

The Maelstrom Medal, in which small, non-magical yachts sail a set course in the waters near the resort. Experienced sailors required, though individuals might hire a crew and steal their glory. This takes place on the 19th, with participants setting off after breakfast and returning before dinner. The prize is 5G, and a medal. Participants must own boats.

The Ladies Boating Trophy, in which pairs of ladies (unmarried, 15-30) compete in a similar course with small dinghies. Participants should have some sailing experience, though all boats will be spelled to prevent tipping over. It takes place on the 20th. The prize is 5G and a small trophy. Boats provided.

Not sailing? No problem!  There will be plenty to keep you busy!

Large mirrors have been set up in strateigic locations throughout the resort allowing patrons to watch the races from the comfort of dry land. In addition to all of the resort’s usual offerings, they’ll be boasting…
    — An evening performance of The Tempest on the beach on the 17th (free to all visitors!)
    — A beach sendoff picnic on the 18th for those taking part in the Sanditon Cup (anyone can attend)
    — A ball on the 22nd (MC/UC)
    — An awards ceremony for all the winners on the afternoon of the 23rd
    — A yacht raffle running throughout (5G per ticket). Anyone with rooms booked automatically gets one entry. Winner of said yacht will be announced during the awards ceremony!
    — “Cards & Cocktails” every night after dinner for MC and UC aged 17+.

Those interested in reserving rooms or signing up should click here!

To avoid issues, non- and part-humans must register as such at check-in/upon arriving on premesis. Such individuals may note increased security in their presence—purely for their own safety, of course!

Posting this with Suzanne because she's my only LC adult, she actually has nothing to do with the hosting. xD

    What: Poor People Dance Party
Who: Hosted by some LC & lower MC Ministry workers! It's intended for the respectable lower MC and LC sorts, but I assume anyone could crash it. like your UC person who wants to slum it up or whatever xD
    Where: Hogsmeade Hall!
Why: Because poor people can have fun too
    When: August 25th
    Forum: It'd be fun!

Remember that poor people party on Titanic? Or that hobbit party on Lord of the Rings? That's the aesthetic. Poor people having fun!

    What: Marcus Lytton's Yacht Party
    Who: See here!
    Where: Sanditon Resort
Why: To celebrate his yacht and his courtship with Lady P!
    When: August 23rd
Forum: Nah - they can be posted in the regatta forum?

Marcus bought a super expensive magical yacht. He's hosting a rather VIP party on his yacht to show it off to his rich friends. About an hour into the event the yacht will depart to Athens with any of the guests that want to go. They'll arrive in Athens on the morning of the 24th where they can do tourist-y things.

Guests were informed of that in their invitation and encouraged to dress ~casually~ cause it'd be weird for a bunch of fancily clad people to walk around Athens. xD

Judges will be Marcus, @Octavia Lytton and @Gwendolyn Vane-Tempest the winner of the recent Fit for a Queen ball.

    OOC it'll work like this.
