Topaz Has A Surprisingly Large Amount To Say
    #17
Topaz considered this. She had no desire to spend any time with Miss Lovegood, under the guise of visiting and art exhibit or no, and her mood was so spoiled that she wouldn't be able to enjoy any of the art. If she did force herself to go through it, she'd just spend her time shuffling around and looking sour. On the other hand, if she agreed to go home early, everyone in the house would realize that her outing with Miss Lovegood had lasted less than an hour. Would that get her in trouble with Papa? Well, no matter how long it lasted, Miss Lovegood would probably tell him all about it, later. She was probably in trouble anyway. The only thing prolonging the trip would do would be to ensure her siblings didn't know how much trouble she was in--at least not immediately.

Well. Who cared what Delight and Bash thought, anyway? The twins wouldn't have an opinion, and Ruby would honestly probably be proud of her for chasing Miss Lovegood off so quickly.

"No," she decided, raising her chin and keeping her voice tight and level. "I'd rather go home."

Well then, she supposed they were going home. It was a shame to admit defeat but it felt as though there was no way of winning. It was probably one of those things that needed time and a more... passive persuasion to win over Miss Topaz Urquart. Maybe it was a sign she oughtn't to be marrying Mr. Urquart at all. "Home it is then. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy yourself."
