    MURDER IN THE RUE MORGANA

Body of Sterling Carrow Found At Selwyn Ball

Aurors were called to the Selwyn home in Wellingtonshire late last night after the body of Mr. Sterling Carrow, eldest son of Isidore and Drusilla Carrow, was found in an upstairs study. Mr. Carrow had been one of many guests at Mrs. Selwyn's Ball for the benefit of wayward women. The party was rather controversial as many of the attendees included the intended beneficiaries of the charity, instead of just being a fundraising event, as many of the guests had anticipated.

The body was discovered by Mrs. Elle Lassey, who told Aurors that she was searching for the bathroom when she stumbled across him. It is unclear when the murder took place, as he was reportedly missing in action for much of the ball. He appears to have died from blunt force trauma, after a small statuette was used to bludgeon him.

After Mrs. Lassey made the discovery, the scene was immediately crowded with a wide variety of women who had been in attendance--most of them of the unseemly variety. One woman even had a child out of wedlock, and had brought said child with her to the party. She commented: "Yes, I discovered the body after Mrs Lassey. When she screamed, I had run over to see what was wrong. It was all very alarming, and I was fearful of my safety, as well as the safety of my newborn."

Mr. Enoch Rosier has been assigned as the lead Auror for the investigation, and is assisted by junior Auror Theodoric Jameshill. Although neither was willing to comment on any possible leads, Mr. Rosier said the department would remain diligently devoted to finding the murderer. "Tonight's event, intended to be in aid of fallen women, has in fact allowed for their worst natures to be revealed in the most tragic possible way. Mr Sterling Carrow was an estimable gentleman and we will work tirelessly to uncover the culprit."

Miss Artemisia Carrow, who was in attendance with her brother, fell into hysterics upon hearing the news and could not bring herself to make any statement to either the Aurors or our reporter.

Several of the guests have already been questioned, but it seems obvious that the Aurors will likely focus their search on some of the more 'questionable' guests.
