    Darrow Resigns In Disgrace
    MAY 10TH 1887

Anyone who read the Prophet on April 22nd is sure to be aware of the horrific and tragic accident that occurred when Accidental Magic Reversal Squad Head, Casper Darrow, allowed a child to die on his watch. The young girl, whom we now know to be Miss Alice Thorpe, was impaled on park railings after floating a considerable distance into the sky as a result of accidental magic. Mr. Darrow was attending the incident and failed to lower the girl to safety or prevent her fall from ending in impalement.

We now know that Mr. Darrow has resigned his

post and left the Ministry entirely. This action we believe was the right one, it is simply a shame Mr. Darrow could not have made such apt choices when he was supposed to be doing his job.

Parents of children prone to outbursts of accidental magic may now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Mr. Darrow will not be the one coordinating the rescue of their child. Hopefully Mr. Darrow's successor will prove to be entirely competent and reliable, it is simply a shame that the life of a child had to be lost first.
