Who: Any/Everyone! (Though mostly MC & LC are expected to attend as its more of a country dance in the end)
    Where: Irvingly, Podmore Zoo
Why: May Day Spring Fling and unveiling of TWO new magical creature exhibits.

What: Distressed Witches Charity Quilting Meet
Who: Thom Pettigrew to sponsor and Hannah Pettigrew to host; any UC/MC lady with a rep 4+ is invited but it's aimed at the idle rich. No children. I suppose men could come if they really wanted but like... why.
    Where: Hogsmeade Memorial Ballroom
Why: Because CHARITY. #1 Pastime of Bored Victorian Ladies™
When: 11 May, all afternoon. Guests can come and go as they please but the intention is for people to show up right after lunch and then sit around drinking and quilting basically all day.
    Forum: Nope!

The ballroom has been filled with large round tables and comfortable chairs, where charitable souls can mingle, talk, and most importantly, make a ton of quilts. The right wall is filled with food displays (finger food, hors d'oeuvres, and a bar where waitstaff will be serving lady-like cocktails). The left wall is full of bins of various fabric squares. Quilts can be made in either the magical or muggle fashion and there are a few roaming ladies from the Society for Distressed Witches to give lessons or quick pointers in either. All the products of the event will go to the Society.

If the food and the booze and the preponderance of women isn't enough to make things interesting, some trickster has also enchanted one of the bins of fabric--anyone touching a square of the red floral stuff will be unable to speak anything but the bluntest and least filtered of truths.

    What: Ices In The Park!
Who: Drusilla Travers & Elle Lassey to sponsor/organize. It's open to anyone but geared to MC/LC.
    Where: Padmore Park
Why: To raise money for the Irvingly School
    When: Saturday, 20 May
    Forum: Nope!

Come enjoy as many magical flavors of edible ice as the volunteers at the stand can cook up, all available by donation. All proceeds go to benefit the Irvingly School and education for young children. MC women can spend an hour or so volunteering at the stand if they're the charitable type; otherwise the intended 'customers' are MC/LC folks. UC folks might peek in to look good for charity but would not really be expected to hang out and mingle with the commoners, or anything. ;)

In addition to the edible ice stand the volunteers have put out several lawn games such as croquet, lawn tennis, lawn bowling, etc. to make it an entertaining Saturday for anyone who visits. ^^

Note: this is at the height of the toad infestation, so you may end up with a frog in your ice.
