Standing at an altogether average height of four feet, three inches, with coppery red hair and rich brown eyes, Sybille appears to be the picture of a perfect young lady. Until she's found with flour down her front and dough on her fingers in the kitchens of the Lukeson household. Never far from a bright giggle or a glowing smile, this petite fire pixie is the every bit a princess. She is fully ambidextrous, though she does tend to have a slight, unconscious preference for her left hand.
Sybille is born on a spring afternoon, in a time of strife and turmoil in the greater magical community.
On a cool evening in early November, in the midst of a minor fever, Sybille somehow manages to force the temperature of her nursery to a frosty 38 degrees Fahrenheit, with no one in the room at the time. The aura of cold radiates to other rooms, however, and this alerts Guinevere, among others, to the situation. Guinevere panics, but no one else in the family does so to the same extent. Sybille's grandmother declares that the infant will be a a powerful witch someday.
Sybille's oldest brother, Ace, displays magic, and goes off to Hogwarts. Sybille discovers the kitchen, and begins disappearing before mealtimes - playing with one or another of her toys and watching the cook bake.
Avril goes off to Hogwarts. Sybille begins begging the cook to show her how to cook, having decided she wants to be like the cook in some way. After three whole weeks of insistent requests, the cook gives in and shows the child how to knead dough, fostering an intense interest in baking.
Leroy goes off to Hogwarts, and Sybille finally begins to understand where her siblings are disappearing to most of the year. The cook still doesn't trust her near hot things, but she does teach her how to mix. Guinevere discovers Sybille's odd habit.
King finally shows signs of magical ability. Sybille's habit grows into something of a hobby, even leading to the small girl waking early just to help the cook with bread for breakfast. This creates concern in her mother, but Sybille is insistent. It is her joy, more than her toys.
Finally, the cook allows Sybille to do something a little more than just kneading or mixing or measuring ingredients. After scalding her hands on a pot of soup, having sent her helper off for something else, the cook instructed Sybille to mix, knead, shape a tray of biscuits and place them in the oven for breakfast. Sybille keeps this incident to herself, and, noticing the biscuits were a touch too sticky, added a bit of flour to the shaping of them.
Sybille continues to be the pampered youngest daughter of the Lukeson house, and the only one innocent enough to not fully realize what her father really is, even now. She thinks he goes off to do adult things. Of some sort. She still bakes at least once a day, and still finds time to play with her toys.
Short-tempered, idealistic, enthusiastic, decisive, incorruptible, forgiving, independent.
