MARCH 2ND 1887
DEBUTANTE KILLER SENTENCED
AZKABAN WELCOMES A NEW RESIDENT
After an unexpectedly long trial, Miss Maureen Prewett has been sentenced to life in Azkaban after the Wizengamot found her guilty on five counts of murder. Other charges were raised against Miss Prewett but insufficient evidence was found to support these.
After her sentencing, Miss Prewett maintained her claim of innocence and showed herself to be utterly
devoid of remorse for her actions. It is an insult to the families of the debutantes she murdered, although they will hopefully rest a little easier now that they know their daughters' murderer is in the care of the dementors.
Miss Prewett was removed - with some resistance - from the courtroom for incarceration as soon as the sentence was read out.
