Petite, but not overly so, standing at four foot ten, Larisa has room to grow, hopefully to a full height of around five feet. The youngest Vorinin child, Larisa has dark brown hair and blue eyes. She has a thin build and is often light and quick on her feet. A fan of baking, her clothes occasionally have flour on them. Her formal attire, when necessary, is often in shades of dark greens and blues, similar to a peacock. Outside of mourning attire, her casual dress is light, and comprised of yellows and pinks. She is right handed for writing, but left hand dominant in all other things.
In 1866, Nikon and Nina welcome their first child, Halyna, to the family. In 1867, a brother joins the family. In 1870, Halyna gains an interest in the mechanics of things and is decidedly, at four years old, a tinkerer and inventor. A late edition to the family, Larisa is born in October 1873. Shortly after this, Haly displays magic by preventing a statue from toppling onto the infant Larisa after having levitated the baby out of the way.
As a young child, Larisa created her own language based off English, Russian, and French. The words were complex, and yet to Larisa (and eventually her siblings) communication in this form was preferred. In 1877, Halyna begins her education at Durmstrang. In 1878, the brother Vorinin goes to Durmstrang. Over Christmas 1878, Larisa displays magic. In between her studies of English, French, Latin, Larisa picks up baking as a hobby. And Larisa is an all or nothing kind of person, and immediately chooses to go big for her baking endeavors. In 1884, Haly graduates. The following year, her brother graduates. Her parents are killed after an uprising occurs in their hometown. It was terrifying and the children were sent to their uncle, a man they had only met probably once before ever, but they didn’t know him. Upon meeting him, Larisa is unsettled, but keeps to herself and her baking.
At the sorting ceremony in 1885, Larisa, finally old enough to go to school, is sorted into Slytherin. The nearly twelve year old attributed it to her guile and deep sense of self preservation and determination. She likes to be alone and is by far more an outsider than a high born daughter ought to be. She studies well and hopes to eventually open up a bakery, but for now appeases her uncle and does well to honor the memory of her parents.
