Did you know?

Fern-hunting parties became popular, allowing young women to get outside in a seemingly innocuous pursuit with less rigid oversight and chaperoning than they saw in parlors and drawing rooms. They may have even had the occasional romantic meetup with a similarly fern-impassioned beau. — Bree

Separating was also not a great idea, though they weren't doing great at staying together anyway. If she were to volunteer to be the human sacrifice.. well... Hogsmeade had plenty of debutantes anyway...

March 1888
March 1888

This month, the full moon will be on March 27th. Those who play/plot with werewolves should plan accordingly.

Click below for directions on adding your event to this month's list!

A Celtic Street Festival

What: A Celtic Street Festival
Who: Open to anyone with access to Hogsmeade! Hosted by... parties unknown. :P
Where: A roped off area of Padmore Park
Why: BECAUSE MISCHIEF. Also St. Patrick's Day.
When: 16-18 March
Forum: We don't do that anymore.

See this thread for details, or to plot out your madness!

Dippet-Devine Wedding

What: Dippet/Devine Wedding
Who: Invitees are mostly UC with a few MC exceptions (ask if you think you may be one of them); rep 7+ and on good terms with Ophelia/Roberto.
Where: The Devine estate in Ireland.
Why: Because they love each other. It's cute.
When: 28 March
Forum: Nope~

The ceremony will be lavish and outdoors, with so many flower bouquets around every corner that you won't even be able to see the horizon. There will be cocktails/champagne served before the ceremony where guests can mingle as they please, then Ophelia and her bridal party besties will be arriving via flying carriage. Because she has one of those now >D It was the gift she extorted out of Armando gave her for her wedding because like hell was she arriving via floo and having soot on her wedding dress.

The ceremony itself will be simple and have some traditional Celtic themes included (though certainly not handfasting, after the mess earlier that month!) and then the reception will last as long as the guests are inclined to stay. Booze and dance music will be provided. Try not to get too messy. The happy couple will be spending their first night at the estate in Ireland and then will depart on their honeymoon the following morning.

1888 Easter Celebration

What: 1888 Easter Celebration
Who: For all the Hogsmeade citizens. By some charity???
Where: All of Hogsmeade!

Easter festivities! Check out the plotting thread!
When: March 28-April 02

A (Le)strange Easter

What: A (Le)strange Easter
Who: Anyone who...

❧ Was born with the last name Lestrange
❧ Married someone with the last name Lestrange
❧ Has a mother or mother-in-law born with or married into the last name Lestrange

Where: Fort Lestrange (England somewhere I forget where)
Why: Because what better excuse than a holiday to call in the banners?
When: March 30-April 02

Come spend the long weekend with the fam and associate with approx ZERO mudbloods! Try to avoid getting cornered by Uncle Priam unless you want to spend an hour with him lecturing you about how Magical Jesus cheated Death so you can go to Hogwarts. Weekend highlights include:
❧ Easter Dinner on Sunday. If you're old enough to Hogwarts, you're old enough to hang with the family. Lucius will regret this decision when he remembers Kristoffer exists.
❧ A family wizards' chess tournament on Saturday because they're snooty like that.
❧ Just a general excuse for the extended family to hang, really.
