Bastard children to come possibly
Sean isn’t much of an imposing figure by all intents and purposes. One look at him, and most would think he isn’t exactly one to take seriously though he’s rarely seen with a smile and often has a rather irritated expression on his face instead. He stands at a mere five foot five and has very little muscle built up. His hair is a mix of a reddish hue with some grays and whites intermingled in. Luckily, however, he still remains predominately red haired. He often boasts facial hair but at least has enough sense to keep it trimmed short so as not to look scruffy or ragged. After all, appearances are key. His eyes are slate blue in hue, the source of his children’s eye color. His clothing is kept in immaculate condition. And though his attire may not be the most fashionable, he makes a point to keep his clothing as nice as it can possibly be, again with the appearances. His right hand is his dominant hand.
1831: Sean Alan is the final child born to Fergus and Aileen Reid. He is a small and quiet child, quite the opposite from the rest of the boisterous Reid clan. He’ll find himself quite often picked on by his louder and larger siblings.
1836: Sean shows his first signs of magic by silencing and freezing his oldest sister, Maisie, when she relentlessly picks on him by holding his favorite toy out of his reach. In her frozen and silent state, he is able to push her over and take his toy back. No one is the wiser until their mother comes looking for Maisie wondering why her chores hadn’t been finished.. Several hours later.
1842: Sean leaves for Hogwarts. The hat is barely set upon his head before he is sorted into Slytherin. It is hard to believe that such a small and ordinary boy is so quickly sorted there but he surely will prove to fit into the house quite perfectly.
1844: Sean adds Arithmancy, Ancient Studies, and Ancient Runes to his schedule.
1846: He receives a letter prior to starting his fifth year stating he’s been selected as Prefect. It doesn’t quite come as a surprise seeing as how the classmate he felt was his biggest competition had been caught snogging, and perhaps being a bit too touchy feely, with a girl by a professor who happened to receive an “anonymous” tip as to their favorite location.
1847: Sean finishes up his fifth year and does quite well on his OWLs.
Ancient Runes E
Ancient Studies E
He drops Astronomy, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, and Ancient Studies.
1848: With two years of exemplary Prefect service, Sean is made Head Boy.
1849: He graduates among the top of his class and begins working in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in the auror training progam.
1852: Sean becomes a full fledged auror.
1853: He meets his future wife, Adeline, in Dorset. They aren’t overly fond of one another at first, his first instinct from his family disliking muggles, to be not so kind to her. However, things change a few weeks later when they meet again. Part of him wants to like her purely because he’s well aware how his family would take to such a connection but the other part genuinely growing to like her, mainly due to her free spirited nature. They are married before the year is out, with Sean telling Adeline about his magical heritage just two days before the wedding. Upon their marriage, Sean purchases a home in Dorset and moves there. Far from his rambunctious Scot family.
1855: They welcome their first child, a son, they name Philander. Sean isn’t around much in all reality, however, as he switches his career and begins working in the investigation department instead. The work isn't as precarious and therefore better for a man with a budding family.
1856: Sean becomes a full fledged investigator.
1857: Adeline suffers her first loss of child. A daughter is born but gone just three short days following her birth. His wife leans on him as much as possible but Sean finds himself trying to work even more as a result. His first affair is started following the loss. A young magical maid from a household in another town.
1858: Another child is lost, this time a boy. Sean never even meets Whitfield as the boy dies in Adeline’s arms. He throws himself into his work even more so than before as a result. Clearly work becoming his only solace in the loss of children.
1860: Adeline suffers a miscarriage and Philander tries to fly and jumps out a window. Sean is, unsurprisingly, absent during both instances.
1861: Yet another miscarriage is had. Sean hasn’t a clue what to say or do to comfort his wife and instead focuses on work.
and his mistresses
1863: Philander shows his first signs of magic to which Sean is quite proud. Less proud of a moment is when another child is lost just moments after being born. Instead of being there for his wife in her time of need, he is with one of his favorite ladies elsewhere. Sean promotes to the Assistant Head of the Investigation department. It involves much more work but he clearly has a long term goal in mind of being the Department Head. With his promotion comes a new affair.
1864: His wife begins to rely on their son and her family far more than him due to his absent nature. He pays no attention to it, quite busy and content himself.
1866: Adeline has another child, a daughter. Surprisingly to all, Temerita thrives. Another child is not lost for once and Sean is a bit unsure of what to think. Instead, he focuses on the sureties in life. Philander leaves for school, Sean focuses on his work as he is promoted to the head of the investigation department and enjoys in dalliances on the side.
1870: Adeline comes to Sean with thoughts that Temerita has some oddities about her. He dismisses them, not willing to admit that what his wife tells him sounds very much like having the sight. Having the sight is not exactly ordinary and therefore ruins all chance of being a respectable, ordinary family. That and if his daughter is indeed a seer, all pretense of keeping his affairs secret could quite possibly be put to an end. He distances himself from his daughter as much as he can without being overly suspicious.
1875: There’s no longer a way to deny Temerita’s sight. He chooses to ignore it all he can and refuses to speak of it whenever the topic should come up.
1882: Sean decides that they must leave Dorset. His affairs growing a bit too serious in the area. News of Irvingly is heard and so he moves his wife and daughter there. Adeline drops subtle hints of knowing about his affairs. She manages to strike some chords of guilt but not enough to stop him from continuing his affairs.
1884: The laughing plague strikes. While all but his wife end up sick, everyone pulls through.
1886: Sean lives in his own world, one of being ordinary and perfectly respectable. At least, that is the air he puts off for all of society to see. He strives for normalcy and does what he can to keep his family’s respectable appearance alive, their secrets hidden.
Personality: Rigid. Impersonable. Proud. Confident. Adulterer. Suspicious. Inquisitive. Ambitious. Cunning.
