    Flora Halliday
    #1
    In Character
Full Name: Flora Minerva Alice Halliday
    Nicknames: "Flower" by her sister
    Birthdate: February 26, 1872
    Current Age: Fourteen Years
    Occupation: Hogwarts Student [Third Year]
    Reputation: ★★★★★ (5)
    Residence: Bartonburg, Hogsmeade, Scotland
    Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw
    Wand:
Aspen | A beautiful wand wood that's prized for its close resemblance to ivory, aspen wands are often meant for the determined and strong-willed. They are prized for their outstanding charm-work and can often be found in the hands of one meant to become an accomplished duelist.

Unicorn Hair | A wand core meant for those who are pure and true to their heart, unicorn hair often bonds tight to its owner, remaining faithful throughout its lifespan. It is the hardest core to be turned to the dark arts, but is said to produce the most consistent magic.

Fourteen Inches | Though her holder of this wand may not be exceedingly tall, its said that longer wands tend to be attracted to larger personalities and flamboyant and dramatic displays of magic.

Quite Flexible | Wands of this flexibility tend to bond to wizards or witches that remain unprejudiced and keep an open mind to new ideas.
    Blood Status: Halfblood
    Social Class: Middle Class
    Family:
Newton Halliday, Father (1840-Present) | A family man with an optimistic attitude, Newton adores his tow daughters and encourages the friendly competition between them. He tends to believe that Fauna's attitude towards traditional values will damage her marriage prospects in the future, but ultimately wants her to be happy.

Elvira Halliday née _____, Mother (1849-Present) | A serious woman with a stern hand, Elvira does everything to keep her daughters (specifically Fauna) in check. Her fatal flaw, however, is that she does not condone hitting or physically punishing her children, so they tend to get away with their misdeeds with little more than losing their wands.

Fauna Halliday, Twin Sister (1872-Present) | Like Flora can be compared to a delicate flower, Fauna can be compared to a wild animal with her carefree and fun-loving attitude. While one could not consider her masculine—her beauty and grace is far too evident—she's proven she has a reckless nature and constantly exhibits recklessness.

Abraham Halliday, Brother (1874-Present) | The Halliday daughters tend to overlook their younger brother, as he tends to stay within the shadows and doesn't like to be the center of attention. He has a strong and logical mind for a child his age, but doesn't seem to the one for socializing. He is doted on and spoiled by their mother.
    Appearance:
Standing at five feet, one inch tall, Flora considers herself somewhat of a beauty. Her figure remains slender in her young teenage years, but her womanly curves are beginning to blossom. She has a blemish-free heart-shaped face with bright brown eyes and a pearly white teeth.

Her hair is long and thick, the color ranging from a rich brown to a dark chocolate depending on the season and the amount of sunlight in the sky. While it reaches down to below her breasts, she often keeps it up in a braided bun with a simple accessory like a strand of pearls or a pin.

She dresses in only the finest fabrics that her family can afford, preferring lighter, happier shades like pastel yellow, pale pink, or even white accented by floral patterns or lace. She does not enjoy wearing her robes while at Hogwarts and takes advantage of every moment she has to put on a dress. She uses either hand for wand waving.
    History:
1872 | On a late evening in London, Mrs. Halliday gives birth to one daughter, who she names Fauna. In the minutes following, however, it becomes apparent that her childbirth wasn't over—she began having more contractions! Not more than ten minutes later she gives birth to a second daughter—one identical to the first—who she decides to name Flora on a whim. The youngest of the two also proves to be the quieter of the two, quickly becoming the favorite of her nurse.

1874 | Later in the year (after September 1st), Mrs. Halliday gives birth to another child, a son whom she decides to name Abraham. While like any child he craves love and attention, it becomes apparent following his first year of life that he's incredibly uncomfortable around people other than his mother, sisters, and nurse.

1877 | After the muggle uprising takes over Britain, the Halliday couple and their children rent out a comfortable little home in Bartonburg, Hogsmeade. Fauna shows her first sign of magic later in the year, which leaves Flora feeling inferior to her sister and insecure.

1880 | Flora and her sister come down with pneumonia. Their mother works feverishly to assure their survival, and within two months they're completely cured of their illness. Shortly after this event, Flora shows her first sign of magic while at a quidditch game during the season.

1883 | After receiving her acceptance letter to Hogwarts, Flora and her sister go off to High Street and Diagon Alley to purchase their supplies. They are sent off to Hogwarts in the fall, where Flora is sorted into Ravenclaw and her sister into (Gryffindor/Ravenclaw). Flora shows potential in her Charms and History of Magic class, but does not appear to like Astronomy or her Potions class as much as the others.

1884 | Flora's family is shaken when the plague and fire sweep through Hogmeade in the summer. No one in Flora's immediate family is affected by the fire, but two of Flora's cousins and a great aunt perish.

1885 | Flora adds Divination, Ancient Studies, and Care of Magical Creatures to her schedule. She begins her OWL-level classes and finds that she's doing well at keeping up her grades.
    Personality:
STUDIOUS | Flora doesn't exactly enjoy studying, but she understand the necessity of it and works hard to get the best grades she can. She tends to equate good grades with worth in life, much unlike her twin.

CONSCIENTIOUS | Flora's always been the one who works hard to do what's right, whether it be morally or academically. She pays attention to the fine details of a project to assure that everything gets done correctly the first time and strives for success.

COMPETITIVE | In Flora's mind, there's nothing more satisfying than winning. Whether it be a potions competition or getting a better grade on her homework than her sister, Flora likes the competitive atmosphere and does her best when she's around it.

INSECURE | Not to be confused with a lack of confidence in her abilities, Flora is insecure about her self-worth as a human being. She often has her melancholy days where she becomes afraid to speak to people she's never met out of a fear of rejection.
