Did you know?

The Language of the Flowers was a popular method to express feelings where words might be improper, but did you know other means of doing so? Some ladies used their parasols, as well as their fans, gloves, and hankies to flirt with a gentleman (or alternatively, tell them to shove it!). — Bree

This boy, then. He wasn't new. Wasn't one of the worst people in the common room, those rotten rich boys - like Mr. Jailkeeper - who could not fathom a world beyond their own farts. Was a good working class lad, so he'd heard. Had a bit of a weird looking face, and a bit of a weird thing for preaching. Still.

Bless Your Beautiful hide
Pretty and trim but not too slim
Heavenly eyes and just the right size
Simple and sweet, and sassy as can be!
Bless her beautiful hide
Yes, she's the gal for me
September 28th, 1888 — Irvingly Zoo
Tiger had been minding his own business at work when he had gone through his mail and found a pink letter. Thinking it peculiar but harmless, he opened it, figuring perhaps one his school aged children had written him which was something they did regularly. Instead his eyes fell upon a poem that in a not-amortentia-dosed state he would have been slightly judgmental of. Una Walsh. He had met her, he remembered. They had danced.

And he was in love with her.

He had to find her. Even in an amortentia dosed state, Tiger wasn't one to go looking randomly in places for the person he was looking for. He tried to recall details before remembering that she had mentioned something about Witch Weekly. Maybe he would find something about her there? Instead, he just asked one of the welcome witches who luckily happened to be an avid reader of the magazine. Una Walsh was a magizoologist type person that sometimes was at the Irvingly Zoo.

That was enough to have Tiger immediately making his way to Irvingly. He didn't even need to go all the way to the zoo as he discovered the redhead in Hawthorne Hollow. It took all he had to not just scoop her up. "There you are," he said, relieved to have found his hearts desire.
It had honestly just been like any other day. Una had spent the morning tidying up around the house and then had been about to settle for a quick bite of lunch and some tea when Tierney had come in with the mail and had waved an oddly pink envelope in her face. Her cheeks had tinged pink as a result, no thanks to the teasing of her brother. She had quickly snatched said letter and wandered off to her rooms but not without laughing at her brother's words trailing behind her as she'd all but fled the kitchen.

She'd hesitated at first, staring at the non descript item before her before she finally slid a finger under the seal to open it. Her cheeks only flushed brighter as she held it in her hands and read through the letter. No, not letter, love poem. Eventually, a broad grin broke out on her features and she quickly saw to changing into a nicer day dress and quickly left the house.

She wanted to go and find him, Mr. MacFusty, as quickly as she could but she knew that her precious Oscar would never forgive her of she didn't come by at her usual time. Luck was with her, however, and apparently the man she found herself daydreaming about dancing with had thought to seek her out immediately!

With flushed cheeks, she smiled brightly at him. "Here I am!" she responded cheerfully.
Oh but she was beautiful. Her flushed cheeks, smile, those beautiful blue eyes as she looked at him. His darling Una with her fiery, red hair - though at the moment, it was blonde but that was just fine by him. All that was on his mind was Una and being by her side.

"And where are you off to my darling?" Tiger asked as he came closer to her and reached out to play with a strand of her hair. "I shall escort you there! I want to spend time with you."
It was a strange feeling, to be so giddy. She didn't actually remember the last time she'd ever felt on such a way. But, in that moment, she was simply happy. The way he looked at her and stepped forward to toy with a stand of hair only had her blushing more. She was usually quite good at keeping her abilities in check but she found herself slipping and noticed that the blonde stand was quickly reverting back to her usual fiery red. It only made her blush more.

"I was on my way to the zoo," she said simply, "I always see Oscar after lunch. But then I was going to come find you. You've saved me the trouble though and I would love the escort!"
It had been so long since he had felt this way about a woman. He wanted to whisk her away and marry her right now but that wasn't really the way to go about things. A girl deserved a bit of courtin', in Tiger's opinion.

He was slightly surprised when her hair changed from blonde to red. For once, the red hair didn't even make him think of his wife. He only thought of how fascinating it was that she was a metamorphmagus. A testament to what a unique and special woman she was, that he was sure of!

Tiger offered his arm to her, idly wondering where he could whisk her off to once she saw to Oscar. It luckily didn't come to his mind that Oscar was a potentially human male - she was his soulmate after all so whoever this Oscar was would be no thread to him!
Una continued to blush, especially as he looked at her with such a shocked expression over the change of her hair. She should have felt more embarrassed, she was sure, but he didn't seem phased or annoyed by it so she was willing to let it go. Besides, it was far more comfortable reverting to her true self. It was who she was, after all.

She gladly accepted his arm so that they could begin on their way. "Now, just to warn you, Oscar has gotten a bit more protective of me as he's gotten older," she started, not even bothering to think that she should let him know she was talking about a magical beast and not some random person, "And you are on the large side so he might be a bit uneasy with you. But, it'll be alright. Just stay with me and nothing can go wrong." She was still grinning broadly as she turned her head up to look at him, blue eyes all but twinkling with the happiness and excitement she felt.
"Your hair is always gorgeous but the red especially suits you," Tiger complimented, quite fascinated by her hair at the moment. He liked the way it looked when the sun hit it. "Who is Oscar, anyhow?" Did she have a child? He chuckled a little at the mention of his size, he was now positive this Oscar was either child or animal. "He'll see I'm a gentle giant." Well, to most people he was anyway. "You don't gotta tell me to stay with you twice, lass. Ain't nothing else I'd rather do."
Una couldn't very well turn down a compliment in regards to her hair, especially considering it wasn't often a good feature of hers. At least, not to according to most everyone in Britain. "Thank you," she said pleasantly, broad smile and rosy cheeks galore, "It's actually my natural color. I've found most aren't all that fond of it though." But if he liked it, why not leave it as such? She'd already been going about with it naturally on and off more frequently. Perhaps it was time to make it permanent, again.

"Oh!" she exclaimed, laughing lightly as she realized he was probably imagining a child or something, "Oscar is a young erumpent I helped to rescue last spring. He's kind of my baby in a way. I raised him after his parents had been poached." It was still a bit of a sad topic, but now the little (or not so little) beast was doing quite well! She'd be loathe to ever leave him, truly, and if she were to leave the area, she'd have to see about transportation. She really couldn't stand the idea of leaving him behind.

Tigers first wife had possessed red hair and he was rather partial to it. Usually seeing red hair made him grieve but the Amortentia infecting him was enough to push past that to allow him to simply admire how beautiful it was on her. "Fools, the lot of them," Tiger said with a jolly chuckle.

"How adorable, a baby erumpent! Are you very skilled when it comes to creatures?" A definite plus for the wife of one involved with dragons! Though thankfully not as closely as he used to be. "How awful for his parents, though. Were they ever caught?"
