Did you know?

First names were most often used by childhood or school friends. If the friendship was made after school age, first names would only really be used by women. Men were far more likely to refer to their friends by their surnames, a mark of familiarity. — Documentation

WANTED:

Emilia Wright for Jude Wright. Casually alienating offspring since 18882.
Separating was also not a great idea, though they weren't doing great at staying together anyway. If she were to volunteer to be the human sacrifice.. well... Hogsmeade had plenty of debutantes anyway...

Barnabas Skeeter in CYOA: Group D

Tell Me Everything

August 3rd, 1888 - London, Delaney Townhouse

While Caroline did not reside in Hogsmeade she had been rather affected by the fog. The social season that she had expected when her brother had rented their townhouse had appeared for a brief glittering moment before the fog rolled in and resigned her to a boring almost endless summer alone in London. Caroline was not one to wallow, but she was immensely relieved when news of the lifting of the fog arrived and Caroline found herself able to spend time with the few people she had had a chance to grow acquainted with.

One of those people was Miss Felicity Adlard. Over the summer Felicity and herself had exchanged numerous letters and Caroline had grown to appreciate their new friendship. Besides, if Felicity’s letters had told her anything it was that she had quite the story to tell. A story that excitement deprived Caroline could not wait to hear.

Three o’clock on Friday found Caroline eagerly waiting for her maid to show Felicity into the parlor. Finally, some well needed girl time, she had had much too much time with her brothers. Finally Felicity was announced and Caroline was out of her seat in a moment. “It’s so good to see you!” She grinned, for once not acting. She crossed over the room to embrace her friend. Remembering to return to polite hostess a moment later. “Come, I have tea and cookies.” Caroline took Felicity’s hand and led her to the couch where the housekeeper had set everything up. It was Caroline’s first British High Tea and she could only hope that it was practice enough to help her later on. “You must tell me everything.” She pressed with an eager smile as the girls sat down.

To say the events in Fogsmeade had been quite eventful for Felicity would be a bit of an understatement. She could hardly imagine what all had gone on in those two months now that the fog was gone and she was able to look back on it all. More seemed to have happened than any regular season for her. And the things that had happened had included her specifically. But.. to say it had all ended horribly would be the furthest from the truth so there was no surprise that there had been a bit of a bounce in her step as she walked to her friend's home from Diagon Alley.

The dark gray attire she wore was a bit bothersome but a necessity still required. It hadn't even been a full month since the passing of her fiance so she could hardly do without mourning attire to some extent so soon after. She'd decided, however, that three months would be the max. She could hardly imagine her once potential in laws caring that much in regards to the mourning. It wasn't as if an official date had ever been set anyways..

With a smile, she was graciously seen into the room where she found herself returning the other girl's embrace. "And you, too!" she exclaimed happily enough before being guided in to take a seat. She had just barely settled before Caro was demanding to know everything. "Oh my, I don't even know where to start!" she said, smiling at the eagerness of her friend, "It just feels like so much has happened!"
