    Blood Status: Halfblood
    Social Class: Middle class
    Family:
The Denbrights, of course, run the most famous wizarding toy store in Britain, if not Europe- Denbright’s Emporium of Wonderful Things. The shop is situated in Hogsmeade, on the High Street. Toy hot-air balloons float across the large, sunny shop, joined by various stuffed and model dragons, winged horses and hippogriffs whilst a toy train runs around the perimeter, above the shelves, displaying various notices. As well as the traditional wizarding toys- reusable hangman, toy broomsticks, the highly collectable quidditch figurines and pitches, gobstones, wizard’s chess and the like, they also stock more unusual toys that are adapted from muggle toys- the hobby horses may neigh and the rocking horses actually prance around the room. They are especially famous for their dolls, which range from the small, sturdy peg dolls that can be brought for a couple of knuts, to the cleverly jointed wooden dolls with really wool hair, to the large china dolls that are the envy of every young girl- individually made to order with an entire wardrobe to compliment her mistress’, a pet of her own and even her own toy wand, and every sort of ragdoll in between. The shop also stocks plush animals and figurines of every description, dolls houses with working lights and bell-pulls, ‘my first potions kits’, children’s crystal balls (unbreakable and only showing ‘happy’ visions), enchanted tea sets and a small corner of the shop is dedicated to toy wands, giving little children an ‘ollivanders-esque’ experience. There are puppet theatres, a bewildering range of collectable figurines and marionettes and it’s not considered unusual to see a member of staff on roller-skates- everything a child could possibly want.

    ---- Atticus ---- [1874] | Nephew
    ---- Lorelei ---- [1877] | Neice

    Latimer Denbright [1874] | Cousin

    Winfield Denbright [1799] | Grandfather
Aileen Denbright nee Darrow [1712] | Grandmother (technically step-grandmother)
    Appearance:
Martha stands at a rather dainty 4’11”, and dresses simply but prettily in cuts that accent her slender frame. Her medium brown hair- nothing special in her mind- is long and pin straight, resistant to any form of curling short of liberal amounts of magic, and her eyes are a pale blue-grey that complement her porcelain skin, marred only by a small scar on her upper left arm from a run in with a fanged geranium. Her cheeks are nearly always slightly flushed with smiling which stops her looking washed out, and she is ambidextrous.
    History:
1866 | Martha is born to the Denbrights, and no sooner than is she old enough for toys she, like all other children in the family, is appointed official toy-tester.
1868 | A younger brother, Bertram is born. He quickly becomes Bertie, and Martha is quite pleased to delegate the responsibility of testing baby toys to him in favour of more grown up ones, which sounds much more professional.
1870 | Uncle Leander and Auntie Alex have a daughter, named Constance or Connie.
1873 | Martha displays her first sign of magic, making a puppet dance on it’s own after the enchantment failed.
1874 | Two births! Another cousin, Latimer, and a nephew, Atticus. Marmaduke leaves Hogwarts.
1877 | Martha heads off to Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff, to the surprise of no one.
1879 | Edith comes out, only to trip on the stairs. Bertie heads off to Hogwarts.
1881 | An eventful herbology lessons sees Martha have a trip to the hospital wing after a fanged geranium decides to embed said fangs in her arm.
1884 | Martha finishes school in May, and has a moderately successful debut before starting work in the family shop. Later in the summer, she is one of those who catch the Laughing Plague, but she thankfully recovers fairly quickly. She is sent, along with several other family members who got ill, to recuperate at the seaside, so she avoids the whole fire and quarantine debacle. The shop itself only suffers smoke damage and a few smashed windows, and is quickly reopened.
    Patronus: A dormouse
Boggart: Herself being a burden whilst her family struggle
Amortentia: Freshly baked cake, wood-shavings, fresh paint and rose oil
    Personality:
Martha is generally a bright and cheery, if a little shy, girl. She is clever-not academically, but artistically- and good at working with her hands, lending her very well to the family profession, and she dotes on children. As a Hufflepuff, she is very patient, which is very lucky given some of the slightly spoilt children they can get in the store.
