Did You Know?
Queen Victoria was known for putting jackets and dresses on her pups, causing clothing for dogs to become so popular that fashion houses for just dog clothes started popping up all over Paris. — Fox
It would be easy to assume that Evangeline came to the Lady Morgana only to pick fights. That wasn't true at all. They also had very good biscuits.

the BROADMOORS

Welcome to your seduction ;)  Before we get started, I do have a few policies regarding my adoptables:
Show

MAGNUS BROADMOOR
[Image: mKjDt14.jpeg]
B. 1860 | MCHB | GRYFFINPUFF | AUROR
The ideal firstborn: responsible, intelligent, thoughtful, and eager to follow his father into the honourable career of auror. With almost a decade on Persy, the two have never been particularly close, and he doesn't have a whole lot in common with Cleon. He likely keeps his own residence in the location of your choosing, but probably Hogsmeade, Irvingly, or London. First name flexible, and marital status up to the player. Suggested PB is James Norton with alternatives to be blonde.

AUGUSTUS BROADMOOR
[Image: 0BwPpbK.jpeg]
B. 1830 | MCAB | GRYFFINDOR | AUROR
A loving, if not always indulgent, father and husband, Augustus Broadmoor is well-respected as an auror, having led many criminals to justice throughout his career. First name and family background is flexible, as long as he was born to the middle class and is of good reputation. Suggested PB is Hugh Grant.

MILLICENT BROADMOOR
[Image: asSF1Oe.jpeg]
B. ~1838 | MCHB | OPEN HOUSE | WIFE & MOTHER
Millie Broadmoor is the perfect wife for her husband: she does not need to be in society but enjoys it, she is of excellent reputation, and she has the fortitude to hold down the fort while he works a dangerous job. She is a sensible, if stubborn, woman who gets exasperated at Persy's disinterest in marriage. How could she grow up with 'all those boys' and not secure one as a husband?! First name flexible. The suggested PB is Laura Dern with alternatives to be blonde.

THE DUCKLING
[Image: cyMYEts.jpg]
B. 1878-1881 | MCHB/MCPB | OPEN HOUSE | HOGWARTS STUDENT
The Duckling doesn't remember their earliest years—or indeed, specifically anything before the summer of 1884. An amnesiac orphan taken by Pandora to ward, they grew up in Magical London without a motherly presence, just a nanny and, later, tutor to tend to their basic needs. Still, Pan isn't absent from their life; she writes to them regularly at school. They also have a wider network, people they know aren't quite savory but who still care for them, speak kindly to them when they visit. There has always been an understanding that they do not speak of these people to others.

Gender, ethnicity, and face are all open. Reputation would not be higher than 8 as there's no clear story as to where exactly they came from.

Welcome to the Roost

THE ROOK
[Image: t1pIXxS.jpeg]
40s/50s | WCAB | NO OWLs | CRIMINAL
The Rook was born and raised in the London underworld. He befriended a wayward Pandora in 1878, found her again in 1880: But he found her, a stab wound in his abdomen hastily stuffed with torn cotton, decidedly not doing fantastic. (She hadn’t been as careful with her identity as she had thought.) (He had been betrayed; did not know who else to trust.) A healer, it was swiftly made clear, was out of the question, but she sheltered him nonetheless, fetched a midwife he knew, still trusted, who patched him up well enough. Oh, it left a particularly violent scar, but he lived. From there, he cleaned house, set himself up as an ersatz king over a small piece of the underworld kingdom, and here the Starling was born, his right hand ... And more and more joined their little flock.

He and Pan love each other and have intermittently been in love with each other, but there is no understanding between them; he may be married, courting, have a family, etc. as the player prefers. He is an ambitious man but a fair one, and is a criminal, not a sociopath. Face and ethnicity are both wide open, but pictured is Sterling K Brown.

Immediate Ties: Pandora Foxglove

THE FINCH
[Image: HApyQ0m.jpeg]
40s | WCAB | OPEN HOUSE; OWLs | MEDIWITCH
The Finch has known the Rook for two decades, and Pandora for nearly one and a half. Indeed, she is trusted enough by both that she is in the inner circle, and actually knows Pan's full identity. Though she obtained her OWLs at school, for whatever reason, she did not pursue further studies or training, working for years as a midwife until training as a mediwitch in the early 80s. Though not formerly trained as a full healer, her experiences are varied enough that she largely functions as such for the flock. She is best described as level-headed, loyal, and meticulous. Her family situation is wide open! Face and ethnicity are both wide open, but pictured is Sandra Oh.

F. LOVEGOOD
[Image: dLjybUl.jpeg]
B. 1875 | UCPB SQUIB | HOME TUTORED | DEBUTANTE
Born on Friday the 13th, F is the youngest of her siblings—one who was revealed to be a squib when no invitation to magical schooling arrived. Of the Lovegood siblings, F was always the most isolated as she was not able to attend school. She was also the closest to their mother, and has inherited some of her superstitious nature—though not nearly to the same extent. She has always worked hard to overcompensate for her lack of magic, and is exemplary in the various womanly skills expected by the English society she is eager to join. She has a sunny dispoisition on the outside, but is she truly as confident as she comes across?

No one is saying she's not a squib, but given the circles the girls will be moving in, their aunt suggested avoiding the topic would be best. How F feels about this, and how long it will last, is up to you. Suggested PB is Angourie Rice.

Immediate Ties: Eurydice Lovegood
Bonus Ties: Adelia Lovegood
Potential Plot: Sweet Talk, The Whirlwind, Princesses on Parade

THE AUNT
[Image: iCqinIQ.jpeg]
B. 1835-1850 | UCPB | OPEN HOUSE | SOCIETY WIFE
Thier mother's sister, but polar opposite: sensible, bubbly, and warm, if a bit scattered—she more or less forgot her sister's children existed until Concordia came to visit on honeymoon at the turn of the year. However, reminded of this existence, she was eager to reach out to her brother-in-law and invite her remaining unmarried nieces for a Season! The girls' particular... afflictions are a unfortunate surprise upon their arrival. She has children of her own, of course, but any daughters are either already married, fully spinsters, or still in school—the Lovegood girls will be her only focus this Season. I have her as nee Nott in Eury's profile, but this can absolutely be changed if you find a natal family to tuck her into. Suggested PB is Jessica Capshaw with alternatives to be white.

Immediate Ties: Eurydice Lovegood

D. LOVEGOOD
[Image: zoLygFe.jpeg]
B. 1871 | UCPB | MANDIRA GRADUATE | OPEN OCCUPATION
Born on Friday the 13th, D still maintains that his mother was an absolute loon for being so hung up on superstition. Of all the Lovegood children, D was the only one to visit England prior to graduation, serving as part of the Mandira delegation for the Pan-Magical Games in 1885, and has still kept in touch with some of the friends he made during the competition. He resides in India, but may choose to come out and visit his sisters. Notably, he lost one of his arms in a freak Exploding Snap accident and now none of the immediate family plays. Suggested PB is Tom Glynn-Carny.

Immediate Ties: Eurydice Lovegood
Bonus Ties: Adelia Lovegood
Potential Plot: Sweet Talk, Queer Awakening?, Enemies to...

C. NEE LOVEGOOD
[Image: nMh48QO.jpeg]
B. 1868 | UCPB | MANDIRA GRADUATE | WIFE
Three dead fiances is not a small number, but as of the Christmas season '93, she is officially married! Sure, he's a couple decades older, but he's nice enough, Not Dead, and they went on a multi-month honeymoon across Europe that allowed her to finally meet family in England.

Born on Friday the 13th, "Concordia" is a fraternal twin to B. Her first fiance, an arranged match, died in 1885 in a sudden landslide. Her second, with whom she was in love, was bitten by a snake and died in 1889. Her third, who was sort of... there, died of cholera in 1891, which was rather overshadowed by the death of her mother the same year.

Once her honeymoon is finished, she, her new husband, and the surprisingly well-developped bun in her oven will likely settle in Britain. Suggested PB is Amanda Seyfried.

Immediate Ties: Eurydice Lovegood
Bonus Ties: Adelia Lovegood

MR. C. NEE LOVEGOOD
[Image: ThoQ1dl.jpeg]
B. 1840s | UCPB/UCHB | OPEN HOUSE | OPEN PROFESSION*
Alright, so she's a little bit younger. But she didn't mind that he greatly preferred the company of men, he didn't mind that she had preferred the company of men before the marriage, and they got along well enough. Besides, having a wife will quiet any whispers when the time comes to return home for good.

"Concordia"'s husband has a profession that lends itself well to immigrating for work from time to time—Ministry sent to manage holdings in India, research work, business, etc. Once they honeymoon is finished, he and his new wife will likely settle in Britain. Suggested PB is Patrick Dempsey.

Immediate Ties: Eurydice Lovegood

For Evangeline
Evangeline Rowle

Evangeline, former wild child turned bitter socialite turned Widow Who Does Not Give a F***, has an unsurprisingly complicated family life. But since none of her family is currently played where's the fun in it??

This doesn't have fancy formatting. I'm sorry. But also all pbs are open aside from being reasonably age-appropriate and should be white or mixed race.

The Children -

Emilia and Elliott Rowle, b. June 25, 1885: Evangeline's twins, her pride and joy, and the only good thing Eva will ever acknowledge came out of her marriage. Eva is a very involved parent, by UC standards. Their personalities are open, but they're probably not having the most conventional upbringing. Their relationship to their extended family is also open, though Evangeline is actively not speaking to her parents, or letting them have access to her children, so it's somewhat limited.

The Stepchildren

Evangeline has two stepdaughters born 1865 & 1868, respectively. I don't imagine they have a very good relationship, given Eva's feelings about her late husband, though their feelings about their father, his second marriage, and all that came with it and after it is up in the air. If they weren't already married and out of the house by the time Edward Rowle was declared dead (January 12, 1887), they probably were soon after. Their life since then, and their relationship to their half-siblings, are all open.

The Desperate Romantics

[Enter IRENE, RÉMY, HÉLÈNE, MOLLY and MATEO; a group of artists and creatives from Italy who met during a summer intensive.]

Their friendship was somewhat forged through the fires of their strict art professor who was fair, but relentless. Over the next few months, the crew settled into a routine of going to school and hanging out afterwards, where their nights consisted of chats of romance, tragedy, family and life in general. Following an incident after Irene leaves Italy, they all decide to move to England together, with Molly's family owning the building where they rent out rooms.
MENTIONED IN —
II. Melancholia | III. CONFLUENCE

Hippolyte Toulouse 'Rémy'
Rémy Toulouse

b. 1863 | MCHB | Beauxbatons | Artist |
Played by K I T

Arguably the most talented of  the group, Remy is loyal and an all around cheerful chap. Having grown up in France alongside Helene, they often speak rapidfire French with each other until otherwise stopped by someone else in the group; usually Mateo or Irene that throws their shoes at them. During one of her last weeks in Italy, Irene figures out that Remy is in love with Mateo. Irene, predictably, bonds with him having been in a similar position in the Spring.

Hélène Bataille

b. 1863 | MCHB | Beauxbatons | Artist |

Always the calm and collected one, it's hard to find something that phases Helene. She tends to walk everywhere and rarely displays any kind of stress or urgency. Cynical and protective, Helene was widowed 3 years ago and left with a decent nest egg by her husband to take care of their child. This fact, Helene is not ashamed of, but does not see fit to let people know. There is decidedly not a maternal vibe about her; in fact, most of the group aside from Remy didn’t realize that Helene had a child until she revealed it two months into their intensive. However, she is often the one to talk people into doing things they might be scared to do. While persuasive, she is not pushy or intrusive.

Molly Brown

b. 1868 | UCHB | Ilvermorny | Artist |

Possibly the richest of the bunch, Molly Brown is an American heiress who is a bit more timid than the rest. Her father and mother are American as well and are looking to immigrate to the UK in the following few years. While at first a shy creature, Molly eventually comes out of her shell among the group. She can sometimes be the voice of reason, but most of the time is a bit of an anxious mess. She wants to make her parents proud, however with an overachieving brother and sister back home, she finds it hard to live up to them. The group all try and encourage Molly to calm down every once in a while. Oh, and her family back home is involved with the mob. Possibly with The Merchant (see The Merchant Plot above) as well.

Giacomo 'Mateo' Gasparini

b. 1863 | UCPB | Beauxbatons | Artist |

Mateo is the most boisterous, unafraid of drawing attention to himself or making some noise (like a true Italian). While he's often the one to help cheer Molly up, he could be a bit a tortured soul; with an extremely purist family family, he is being told by his them to choose a path: artistry or to lose his inheritance. He was also made to take an Unbreakable Vow - the timeline and specifications are up to the player.

The Evergardens Bunch

❧ GUIDELINES ❧
Show
Renata Sprout

Step-Mother | b. 1852 | Apothecary Owner; Healer

Though only related by marriage to half her family, Renata is fiercely protective of her babies like any good mother is. She is determined to cultivate their interests as they arise, including making sure they are seen to and cared for during their lives. Introverted as she is, she delights in hosting close friends for special events at Evergardens and enjoys plotting with her step-daughter to drag all of them into their schemes.

Ezra Sprout

Father | b. 1837 | Owner of Evergardens; Businessman & Healer

As the patriarch of the Sprout family, Ezra Sprout worked hard to be where he was. Having brought his family over to start anew, even with their wealth and name, he met quite a lot of resistance to get his business up and running. Despite all this, he is a jovial man, intent upon keeping his empire of foliage operating smoothly. He rarely comes across an idea he doesn’t entertain at least for a little while, and he depends upon his eldest daughter (more than he realizes) to help him weed out the more….outlandish of expenditures. That being said, he has a hard time saying no to Renata, Philomena and god help him, now Pippa when they team up together. They try not to take advantage of this fact too much.

Andrea Sprout & Ezio _____

Brother & Step-Brother | b. 1862 & b. 1870 | Plant-Based Healers & Evergardens Poison Masters

These two can often be found on the Evergardens premises often together tending to their pride and joy - the Poison Garden. Though only half brothers, and having a bit of a bumpy start, Andrea and Ezio have since found out they have more in common than originally thought. Their combined intellect in overseeing the safe collection of specimens onto their respective destinations is key to helping the ecosystem of the magical greenhouse flourish. (Both don't have to be adopted at the same time!)

Isidore _____

Step-Brother | b. 1870 | Undecided

Theres no one quite Iz like in the Sprout family. Since childhood he’s been attuned to his family’s dynamic, and is quite possibly the more sensitive of the bunch. In a family of horticulturists, Iz feels like the odd-one out when it comes to achievements. By now he thought that he’d have everything decided for him, and was content to coast by on his family’s name alone. Only now has he come to realize that horticulture doesn’t interest him as much as everyone else; and while he loves them all dearly, that is simply not his decided path. He’s yet to tell the family, however, and he’s not entirely chomping at the bit to do so…

Phillippa "Pippa" Sprout

Half-Sister | b. 1888

Pippa is six, and quite mature, thank you very much. The youngest of the bunch, she’s already figured out they’re all wrapped around her little finger, so she naturally gets away with many things including chasing Philomena’s fox around Evergardens and splashing around with the koi fish. She does not know what she wants to do in life; actually she knows what she wants to do, and it keeps changing every fortnight - such is the nature of a six year old - so it does feel as if she’s got the weight of the world on her shoulders, but she is content to whine to her siblings until they abandon whatever task they are doing and come play with her.

The younger of the Pomfrey twins, Hippocrates followed his father's large footsteps into medicine. His life, otherwise, has been unremarkable, bar his journey east after his mother's passing. His is a quiet demeanour, and Stan doubts his father will ever remarry—though how true that is will be up to his player. Suggested PB is Hugh Laurie.

THE PLUNKETTS
for Fred Plunkett & Declan Plunkett
For more information on the family history, East Ridge Farm, and The Plunkett General Store please scroll to the bottom.

Hugh Plunkett
Pictured as Stephen Amell
1860 | Manager of East Ridge Farm

Hugh is definitely the most responsible of the boys. He’s steady and grounded, and often very annoyed with the amount of projects and ideas Fred (and his mother) brings to the table. He’s constantly trying to get his father to work at the store rather than manage the farm and has in all but name, taken over the running of the farm. It is up to the player if he completed only his OWLs or his NEWTs as well.

Larkin Plunkett
Pictured as Max Theriot
1864 | Cheese and Wine Maker at East Ridge Farm

Larkin is the fourth son of the Plunketts and the youngest of the three musketeers (Fred, Declan, and him). He is obsessed with cheese and as such is responsible for the cheese production on the farm. In addition to the cheese Larkin took over Fred’s abandoned idea of wine making and has been dappling in that over the past few years. Larkin is especially close with Declan. His personality is largely open.

Cole Plunkett
Pictured as Jörg Nink
1866 | Baby Brother/Open Career

Cole is the youngest of the Plunkett boys and lives up to his role as such. He is cheerful and unaware of the results of his actions. Like all the other boys he has been taught household skills, such as knitting and darning. Of all the boys he is the most likely to work in the General Store or to leave the family business should he so choose. If he works at the farm/store he is likely the one who is in charge of contracts with those who use their farm goods. It is up to the player if he has completed beyond his OWLs at school.

Elizabeth “Betty” Plunkett nee —
Pictured as Leslie Mann
1840 | Manager of Plunkett General Goods & Involved Mom

Born and raised on the American frontier Betty is a firm believer in self sufficiency and has taught such skills to all her sons. She makes many of the goods for their General Goods store and is constantly looking for ways to add additional items. She is the reason for the beehives and sheep on the farm and has a running “joke” with Bert about purchasing their own silkworms to make silk. She spends much of her time at the store and is very invested in the lives of her sons.

Her best friend is @”Laurel Potts” and she has a pet ghost raccoon.

Bertram “Bert” Plunkett
Pictured as Kenneth Brangah
1834 | Owner of Plunkett General Goods & East Ridge Farm

Bert is from a long line of British farmers. During school he met and befriended Basil Potts over their shared love of plants. After graduation he returned to the farm and focused mainly on the growing aspects of the farm. He traveled to the American frontier to discover how certain crops were grown there and met Betty. After a shotgun wedding he brought Betty home and they took over his father’s farm.

Now that he’s getting older his sons are trying to push him away from the farm and into the store. He’s had some chest pains, and perhaps a health scare, and is grumpy that his family may have a point.

Overall he’s a gruff but loving father and is trying to accept this old thing called love - oh and maybe to reign in his family when it comes to buying new animals. “No Fred, we do not need hogs on the farm!” "Not the silkworms again Betty!"

Plunkett General Store & East Ridge Farm

East Ridge Farm supplies many of the goods for the Plunkett General Goods and other businesses on High Street. This includes honey from their own beehives, cheese from their own cows, milk and eggs from their animals, wine from their vineyards, wool yarn that is spun by Mrs. Plunkett, furniture made by Declan, woven fabrics which Mrs. Plunkett weaves, giant pumpkins, many varieties of large produce, lotions and poultices of Mrs. Plunkett’s invention, apples from their orchards, and blueberries from plants Betty brought over when they married.
Additionally the General Store tries to carry local goods as well as foreign goods.

Plunkett Family History

Bert Plunkett met his wife on a trip to the American plains to discover how to grow successful American crops. Betty lived in a small town on American frontier. It was love at first site, or maybe lust, we’ll leave that up to the reader. When Bert’s trip was nearing it’s close it was discovered that Betty was carrying his child. So with a great fuss in her town (something Bert’s thoroughly British family made sure did not make it across the pond) Bert was forced to marry Betty. He brought Betty back home with him where he made quick work of taking over the family farm.

— YARWOOD
[Image: 0GdoaeH.jpg]
B. 1855-1858 | UCAB | OPEN HOUSE | WIFE*
There comes a time in every lad’s life when he must become a man. In Madoc’s case, that is when he does the math and realizes that his existing income would not support his lifestyle indefinitely. Faced with the decision of many a second son (find a profession, or...), he chooses the or and marries a woman with a sizable dowry in 1877.

In addition to her money, She came with a country house that is not surrounded by dragons (great for entertaining!) and a desire to be married not out of love but out of a desire to not be a spinster living with her parents. Madoc does not particularly like her all the time, but he does respect her. While she is well-positioned to be a socialite, she could also be a healer at St. Mungos if preferred; she just would have begun her training post-spawning. Though she does not share her husband's fascination with dragons (she'll never admit it, but they terrify her), she does consider herself an equestrian and at least vaguely outdoorsy, and actually handles Madoc's side of the running of the Yarwood breeding stables. THE FIRST
[Image: cyMYEts.jpg]
B. 1875-1877 | WCHB | OPEN HOUSE | SIXTH/SEVENTH YEAR ('93)
The first of Madoc's bastards (so far as he knows at least). The two have never met, nor is The First aware of Madoc in any capacity beyond "children require fathers to be made". However, Madoc has sent an annual sum to First's mother each year for well-being, until the First began at school at which point, this became tuition and some supply money. They may know that their school is fully paid for, may not.

They (open name and sex!) are currently in their sixth or seventh year at Hogwarts, and excel in CoMC. In the spring of their final year, they will recieve a prestigous(?) invitation to come work at Avalon Glen and a mysterious reference will be sent on their behalf to the DRCMC at the Ministry. They are fully human, and should be at least half-white.

THE SECOND
[Image: cyMYEts.jpg]
B. 1878-1880 | WCHB | NOT RAVENCLAW | THIRD/FOURTH YEAR ('93)
The second of Madoc's bastards (so far as he knows at least). The two have never met, nor is The First aware of Madoc in any capacity beyond "he was handsome and wealthy". However, Madoc has sent an annual sum to Second's mother each year for well-being, until the Second began at school at which point, this became tuition and some supply money. They do know that their school is fully paid for...and as a result, care a bit less than they should about their studies. They are, however, very curious about their parentage...

They are fully human, and should be at least half-white.

The Publisist
Literary Academic | MC/UCAB | Former Ravenclaw (but flex) | PB: Cillian Murphy (pictured)
Potential Addtl. Connections: Ida Chang Jupiter Smith Henry Berkwood

This person is essentially Basil's copy-editor and contact in publishing. He is quite wide open; maybe he has a publishing house, or maybe just works at one, or maybe not at all. Maybe he works for Transfiguration Today and has connections with publishers, or does that on the side? I'm open to discuss the potential but request involvement in this backstory creation-- specifically how he and Basil have crossed paths in the past.

In terms of connection, I feel like we can decide how this goes based on the ideas. Originally my thought it that they've been working together for some time and are friendly, if not friends. I'd like the friends route because I feel like this character in particular has leverage to harass Basil about life things. But also open to dislike and general apathy with potential for developments (both good and bad.) He's been with Basil, ideally, from the beginning of his publishing journey and has been urging the brunette to write an actual book. Basil refuses, because who the hell has time for that, but maybe one day he'll open up to the idea.

Obviously, this character is a fellow Academic ™ and has a strong appreciation and practical grasp of Transfiguration. (If he's also a fanboy nut or not though, up to you.) He generally is very active in that realm though and is Basil's link to the ongoings in academia outside of Hogwarts. I'd like to develop the academic journal community across Charming too and have sooo many ideas, so if even vaguely interested-- hmu. I have so much more on this topic lol.

Face is a vague suggestion, no requirements really just - yanno - male. Age is flex, but would like 30+ (I just need someone to use this face so I don't and to make Basil blush.)
