Did you know?

The Language of the Flowers was a popular method to express feelings where words might be improper, but did you know other means of doing so? Some ladies used their parasols, as well as their fans, gloves, and hankies to flirt with a gentleman (or alternatively, tell them to shove it!). — Bree

WANTED:

Ester Montgomery for Thomas Montgomery. The one that got away (with the pornographer...)
This boy, then. He wasn't new. Wasn't one of the worst people in the common room, those rotten rich boys - like Mr. Jailkeeper - who could not fathom a world beyond their own farts. Was a good working class lad, so he'd heard. Had a bit of a weird looking face, and a bit of a weird thing for preaching. Still.

Player Name Trudy
Contact: PM Davinder Patil or reply here!

Character: Davinder Patil
Quick Facts: Davinder missed his chance to go to Hogwarts last year because his heritage couldn't be verified. While he does have a little understanding of English, he doesn't speak it very well, and can easily be distracted and have to ask for whatever was said to be repeated. Now, he lives in Irvingly, with Blythe and Temperance Fairchild. He is somewhat mischievous, but overall is actually quite smart, if only he applied himself or could communicate better.
Age: Twelve
House: Unknown
Grad Year: 1895
Class: WC
Reputation: 5
Blood/Race: HB
Occupation: Incoming First Year

Needs:
Friends/Future Classmates: As an incoming first year, Davinder will be able to meet a lot of new people, which might be both challenging and exciting for him.
'Tutor': Someone(or multiple people!) to help Davinder work on his English, and to catch up on whatever he misses in class. For when the school year starts, or sooner if we can make it work!
Hurls: As for hurls, at age 12, Davinder isn't too interested in romance as of yet, but potential possible matches are always good!

Hi Trudy! Bree here again! (I told you networking was a good idea :P)

I have the following:
Frida Lestrange has a blossoming friendship with Blythe, so she might be able to tutor if things go well from there! She's a PB and from notably prejudiced family, but has always been the odd ball out!

Holly Scrimgeour is here for your antagonist needs when the school year rolls around again (though she's trying to change her ways, but you can't completely change a person)!

Cameron Gillenwater is an incoming third year, but I've played him since he was a wee incoming firstie himself! He's a Gryffindor is prone to mischief-making, though it's usually more accidental than purposeful! He may or may not be getting involved with the Church of Magical Jesus; stay tuned ;)

I also feel obligated to offer Justice Rookwood because I've offered students from the other three houses. He could serve as a tutor or whatever when school rolls around, I'm sure~

Ah, a lot of interesting people!

I think it could work if Frida wants to do more tutoring, and it might be interesting since she already knows Blythe/has probably heard about him!

And I'm so ready for Davinder to be bullied/make his first enemy! I actually really like antagonistic plots...wonder what that says about me lol

If Cameron's involved with the Church, he'd definitely be seeing Davinder around, as Davinder's more or less always there, due to the involvement of the two he lives with, but he is a little reluctant on the whole thing.

Justice might also work for a tutor, depending on which house Davinder is sorted into

I have Merritt Davis. He's also an incoming first year and due to his impoverished background, and lack of education he's also likely to also be a bit of an outsider.

As he can't read or write too well I can't see him tutoring Davinder when it comes to writing/reading English but he may be persuaded to help out with the spoken side of things. I can definitely see the two of them becoming friends/banding together due to their difficulties in class/the fact they don't 100% fit in.

Merry will probably end up being a Hufflepuff if that matters.

Hey!!!

I have James Grey who is a Gryffindor and an absolute gem. He is an incoming fifth year, middleclass, and is very approachable and friendly. He has a keen interest in looking into his family history aswell - having recently discovered his mother may have been a witch. Blythe is to thank for that discovery!

I also have Paxton Fudge - the son of the ghost of Sanditon. He is adventurous, boisterous, and very loud. But he's good people. He's an incoming first year so these could be friends perhaps.

I cannot promise that Temperance Fairchild will be nice but they do live together without Blythe for most the year so they probably see more of each other than either of them would like and that is a dynamic I have been wishing to play out!

Yay, working class outsider firsties unite! Merritt and Davinder can definitely be friends, I'm not too sure which house Davinder is going into, actually! But I think it would be nice for them to struggle with reading/writing together.

James and Davinder could work, if Blythe talks to him enough. Davinder does(even if he doesn't like to admit it) follow her around sometimes. And yay! More incoming firsties for Davinder to befriend. He's somewhat quiet, but that's only because of his English problems.

Awesome. That could definitely work if Kayte is down! James wouldn't mind about the language barrier. He'd probably try to teach Davinder some English tbh.

I forgot to mention but I also have Woopy. He is the resident Hogwarts House Elf and hates literally everyone so take from that what you will.

Hi Truuuuudyy!

I only have a couple options as of right now, but Eavan MacKay works at the zoo in Irvingly (though the fog is putting a little damper on there at the moment) if he ever wandered into the zoo she's in the aviary with all the magical birds!

Sloane Bixby is an incoming second year Gryffindor, she lives in Hogsmeade but is easy for me to port around! She's aggressively friendly and loves a good adventure.

If he's ever in Hogsmeade he should totally stop in at Honeyduke's to see Quincey Honeyduke!!

I also have the herbology professor Mason Skeeter and the headmaster Phineas Black at the school. The first is a big softie, the second is an big jerk haha!

Sweetie Whitledge is the Transfiguration Club President, so she is certainly qualified to help tutor him in not only English, but at least Transfigurations class.

Hestia Fairchild is a bubbly... accident prone child who would have great joy in making a new friend.

Camille Scrimgeour is not nearly as judgy as her big sister, and she can be quite friendly. In a rebellion faze, so you know... there's that.

Persephone is a fortune teller, would he like his fortune told.

Regina Lacey is a fellow Irvingly resident. They could chat.

Claire Bénet is a little adventurer whose also an incoming firstie, and stowed away on a ship, so she has tales to tell.

Magic by MJ!

Davinder would be a bit curious about Woopy, I'm sure! He's never met/heard of a house elf. But school's a bit off for him now.

Davinder is a bit scared of animals, at least at first, but he'd warm up to them. Maybe when he's older he can visit the zoo, or wander in there to look at other things. As for Sloane, adventure's always a loud of fun, when he's allowed to(and sometimes when he's not.) And also! He might be scared/excited around teachers at first, but will probably mellow out after a while.

Ah, new Hogwarts people for Davinder to meet! I'm sure Davinder would give a smile if he understood what they are saying(which is most things as long as people talk slow and use common words with...less adjectives.) He would want to see if his fortune could be told, if he was allowed, and Irvingly neighbors could see him playing in the streets, or doing errands for the Fairchilds. And he might be interested in listening to Claire's adventures!

Hi Trudy!

Unfortunately I'm low on child characters for the moment, but I do have Silence Daisy with the carnival in Hogsmeade who is also dreaming of going to Hogwarts!

Carmelina Cramming is currently lodging in Irvingly as she will going to teach at Hogwarts in September, but she is trying to practice out her teacher-skills on children and is generally lovely so would happily hang out with Davinder and try and help with his English?

Once he gets to school I'm sure Kristoffer Lestrange will happily make his life hell, don't take it personally XD

Ah, the Hogwarts dream! Davinder likes to talk about it a lot, so if he sees Silence, maybe they could start a small conversation. If Lauren is okay with it, Davinder can take English lessons with Carmelina! And I'm always good for antagonistic plots.
