Queen Victoria was known for putting jackets and dresses on her pups, causing clothing for dogs to become so popular that fashion houses for just dog clothes started popping up all over Paris. — Fox
It would be easy to assume that Evangeline came to the Lady Morgana only to pick fights. That wasn't true at all. They also had very good biscuits.

Quaderash Tournament Held
New Women-Only Magical Sport Takes Flight

Some of our readers may already be aware of the innovative new sport called "Quaderash," touted as a more feminine and appropriate alternative to Quidditch for the fairer sex. The game draws not only from traditional Quidditch rules, but also incorporates elements of some Muggle games and even some inspiration from Wizard's Chess. Mr. Thom Pettigrew, owner of the manufacturing company Quality Quaffle & Snitch, debuted the game last month and sponsored the tournament in order to familiarize potential players with the rules.

Two matches were held, with all-female teams comprised of volunteers, in the evening hours in Padmore Park. Notably, Mrs. Hannah Pettigrew was among the players, as were several other society wives and young women. Three lucky ladies were able to take home complete Quaderash equipment sets, including Miss Rachael Childers, a well-performing chaser, Mrs. Eliza Carmichael, who played 'defender,' (a Quaderash equivalent to the Quidditch beater) and young Miss Prudence Browne, a seeker. Miss Browne currently plays for her Hogwarts house Quidditch team in the same position.

Several professional Quidditch players were spotted at the event as well, including Puddlemere United chaser Thomas Tilcott and Holyhead Harpies Captain Jossima Warbeck. Some speculated that Miss Warbeck may have been invited in order to give her blessing to the all-women sport, but given some of her recent behavior it seems unlikely Mr. Pettigrew would have been eager to secure her approval if he aims to make this an appropriate pastime for ladies of character and breeding.

Several Quidditch sponsors were also in attendance, including Beckett Longbottom of the Wimbourne Wasps, Roberto Devine of the Kenmare Kestrals, and Ginevra Blackwood of the Appleby Arrows, leading to rumors that Mr. Pettigrew may be seeking co-investors for an even bigger project in the future. What plans he may have for Quaderash remain to be seen, but in the meantime, the game seems to have been well-received by its target audience and the company reports sales of the game are already tolerably high, given its recent debut.
